In Japan’s heavy metal scene, DEAD END established numerous legends with an overwhelmingly original sound.

The quartet’s lineup—MORRIE, a vocalist who graduated from Kobe City University of Foreign Studies and brings an intellectual, philosophical worldview; YOU (Yuji Adachi), the renowned guitarist who sadly passed away in June 2020; “CRAZY” COOL-JOE, a bassist with a cool, quintessential rock-star vibe; and MINATO (Masafumi Minato), a drummer active as a session player—has earned respect from many bands, including those in the so-called visual-kei movement.

Their 1990 single Good Morning Satellite has an instrumental version that was used as Formula 1 driver Michael Schumacher’s theme song.

Perhaps some of you didn’t realize it was a DEAD END track?

FEELRobbie Williams

If you love British music from the 1990s, Take That is a household name.

Formed in 1990, they are often regarded as pioneers of the so-called boy band, a remarkable group in which every member boasts strong vocal ability and songwriting talent.

Robbie Williams, who left the group in 1995 and went on to achieve the greatest success as a solo artist, is especially noteworthy, producing numerous hit songs that remain both in the records and in people’s memories.

“Feel,” included on Robbie’s 2002 album Escapology, is a quintessential Robbie-style pop-rock classic, distinguished by its striking piano riff, cool programmed groove, and wistful melody.

It was used as the ending theme for the 2003 broadcast of the F1 Grand Prix, so even those unfamiliar with Robbie might still remember this song.

GIMCRACKKEN HARADA

This is a song that was used as the opening theme for the 2011 F1 Grand Prix.

Its funky, easy-to-groove-to rhythm is really cool, and it’s a piece you can fall in love with even if you’re not a car racing fan.
