[Karaoke] A Compilation of Japanese Songs Starting with “Mu” (291–300)
mudai baku ha shin

“Mu” was released by Namiba Nami in November 2024.
It’s a work characterized by a dramatic musical style and is included on the album “V.S.” The lyrics, depicting an inorganic world, pair perfectly with the song’s grand, expansive development.
You can almost picture Rei Adachi and Teto Kasane singing side by side.
The chorus in particular sits very high, but even the first verse is already quite challenging.
How far can you go?
Moonlight LegendAmami Haruka (CV: Nakamura Eriko)

The theme song of the smash-hit anime Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon, Moonlight Densetsu—many of you probably know it.
Haruka Amami (CV: Eriko Nakamura) has covered it.
From the intro it gives a sparkling image, like something glittering is drifting down from the sky.
Her singing voice is adorable, and it’s a recommended number I’d love elementary school girls to listen to.
dreamTenmon

A piece with a piano melody that is gentle on the ears.
This is a song called “Yume” (Dream), one of the insert tracks from “5 Centimeters per Second.” It begins to play on Kanae’s way home after she folds her course preference survey into a paper airplane and sends it flying.
A finely crafted piece that reflects the hearts of teenagers who are uncertain about their dreams and paths, holding vague anxieties and hopes.
Just as Takaki, now grown, imagines himself standing beside Akari, the song fades away like scattering stars.
It expresses both Kanae’s unfulfilled feelings and Takaki’s unrequited love for Akari.
Musashi! Bugei Legend!!Shimon Masato

It is the opening theme of Studio Pierrot’s TV anime “Karakuri Kengō-den Musashi Lord,” sung by Masato Shimon, who has performed many anime songs.
Many people may recognize the beginning of the song, as it is used on the variety show “Kaiun! Nandemo Kanteidan.”
Moonlight BeerhallUdagawa Bekkan Bando

Formed in 2010, this eight-member band hails from Udagawa in Shibuya.
With members rooted in soul, funk, and hip-hop, they deliver “Shibuya nightlife” music.
Their performances are cool yet approachable, with melodies and lyrics that make their songs enjoyable even for those who aren’t necessarily soul aficionados.
