When I attended my first music festival as a freshman in college, I was captivated by its charm—“I can’t believe there’s a place this free and this fun.” I share information about wonderful music festivals every day to help grow the community of festival fans.

We’ve put together a list of music festivals in Yamagata Prefecture, including summer festivals, rock festivals, and outdoor festivals.

Rock Wall Music Festival THE FINALSat 9/20 – Sun 9/21, Yamagata Prefecture

The concept of this festival is to discover various locations and hold a music festival in uncharted places. Since it used to be a quarry, the staging is set against majestic rock walls and sheer 50-meter cliffs. By leveraging techniques like projection mapping, we explore new possibilities.
