Theme songs and insert songs of NARUTO

We present the theme songs from the anime series of the popular manga Naruto, which was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump.

In Naruto, the protagonist Naruto Uzumaki aspires to become the village’s greatest ninja, embarking on battles and adventures—and the biggest highlight is surely the beautiful friendships depicted throughout the story.

Many of NARUTO’s theme songs are cool, fast-paced tracks, and a lot of them are by rock bands.

This is a playlist I’d like not only Naruto fans, but also rock fans who don’t know Naruto, to listen to.

Opening and insert songs of NARUTO (1–10)

WindAkeboshi

This is the first ending theme of NARUTO, and it has such a mysterious atmosphere that it’s hard to believe it’s the beginning of a series that will unfold from here.

The melody is very quiet and sorrowful, but the lyrics are filled with hopeful, forward-looking words like “don’t cry” and “break out of your shell.”

ParadeCHABA

This is a song by CHABA, a three-piece band with the unusual lineup of guitar, sanshin, and violin.

Perhaps because the sanshin is part of the ensemble, it has a melody that evokes Okinawa.

With lyrics that feel like going on a journey and a vibe like taking a slow walk, it’s a very gentle track.

swayingHearts Grow

Hearts Grow – Yura Yura
swayingHearts Grow

With a light, easy-to-ride tempo and a straightforward message, this song exudes a refreshingly clear vibe.

It’s an down-to-earth love song, passionately sung to convey heartfelt feelings to someone special.

Lost WordsNo Regret Life

Nakushita Kotoba – NARUTO (Cover)
Lost WordsNo Regret Life

No Regret Life’s songs express the complexities of life through lost words and memories.

With melodies filled with deep emotion and delicate lyrics, they carry messages that resonate with listeners.

Their second single, released in June 2005, was also used as an ending theme for the anime Naruto.

It symbolically portrays various moments in life—nights without answers, fleeting warmth, and a longing for distant places.

It may be a song that offers comfort to those who have experienced heartbreak or who are struggling with the distance between themselves and someone important.

Viva★Rock ?Japanese side?ORANGE RANGE

Naruto Ending 3 – ORANGE RANGE – Viva Rock (Japanese Side)
Viva★Rock ?Japanese side?ORANGE RANGE

This is ORANGE RANGE’s third major single and their first tie-in song.

It’s a playful track featuring, at the beginning, a parody of the Famicom Wars TV commercial (itself originally a parody of the film Full Metal Jacket), along with carefree lyrics.

Amid the fun atmosphere, it also carries a supportive, uplifting message—like “So don’t rack your brains; you’re you”—making it a positive, cheer-song-like piece.

HarmoniaRYTHEM

Rythem – Harmonia (Naruto) ハルモニア -> Rythem – Harmonia (Naruto) Harmonía
HarmoniaRYTHEM

This is the major debut single by RYTHEM, a singer-songwriter chorus duo best known for their beautifully clear harmonies.

It’s a memorable track in which, while reflecting on the beauty of nature, they continually call out to a loved one with the refrain, “Hey, can you hear me?”

Theme and Insert Songs of NARUTO (11–20)

No Boy, No CrySTANCE PUNKS

Naruto Full Opening Theme 6 No Boy No Cry
No Boy, No CrySTANCE PUNKS

This is STANCE PUNKS’ major-label debut single, a shout of the spirit that could be called the very roots of punk—youthful discontent and defiance against society.

The song feels like a call to young people who harbor such frustrations, carrying a message that tells them to keep moving forward.
