One song that further expanded the scope of YMO’s work is “Kimi ni, Mune Kyun.” The expression “mune kyun” is said to have originated from Kumiko Yamashita’s fan club, but wasn’t it the hit of “Kimi ni, Mune Kyun” that really popularized it across the public? There’s even an anecdote that YMO’s associates obtained Yamashita’s permission to use the phrase.
