Office party games that get everyone excited

Do you ever play games that everyone can enjoy at company drinking parties or banquets?

Especially during the year-end and New Year party season, you might even prepare prizes and have everyone compete in games!

In this article, we’ll introduce party games that everyone can enjoy together.

We’ll cover plenty—from classic, familiar games to fresh, creative, and funny ones.

Be sure to give them a try and make your banquet a blast!

Company Party Games That Get Everyone Excited (41–50)

UNO

UNO is the gold standard of party games—a card game that could be said to be found in almost every household.

You can play with as few as two people, but the more players, the livelier it gets.

Deal 7 cards to each player, and place the remaining cards face down in a draw pile in the center.

Flip over the top card to start a discard pile.

Players take turns placing a card that matches the top card by number, color, or symbol.

When you have only one card left, call “UNO.” The first person to play all their cards wins.

Name Bingo

Name Bingo

It’s a game that adds a self-introduction element to the classic party staple, bingo.

Instead of numbers, you play bingo using the participants’ names.

The host calls out names at random, and players aim to line up a row to win prizes.

When someone’s name is called, they come to the front and give a brief self-introduction.

By including this moment, the game helps facilitate smooth communication among everyone.

It’s a perfect choice even when many people are meeting for the first time.

Birthday line

It’s a game where you derive answers using only gestures, helping build participants’ trust and understanding.

Express your birthday through gestures and line everyone up in order of their birthdays.

Since numbers can be shown with hand shapes, conveying your birthday itself should be fairly easy.

We recommend setting a time limit or competing by team speed to encourage smooth communication.

Once everyone gets used to gesturing, you can change the prompts—such as “height” or “the most expensive recent purchase”—to adjust the difficulty and keep things lively.

Majority Game

Majority Game

It’s a game where you choose whether to press a button that causes something pleasant and something unpleasant to happen at the same time.

The idea is to spark discussion by seeing whether your decision aligns with the majority among the participants.

You draw a card with a prompt and simply decide what choice you would make for that scenario.

If a prompt doesn’t quite click, try tweaking the wording to turn it into a true “ultimate choice.”

Caricature Quiz

Caricature Quiz

This is a game where team members draw caricatures of each other, and then everyone tries to find the one that depicts themselves from the completed set.

A key point is that each caricature must be drawn in one minute, which tests not only drawing skill but also the ability to observe and capture distinctive features.

Because time is limited, the drawings inevitably become rough sketches, which might lead to a uniquely quirky visual world.

Of course, making an easy-to-understand caricature matters, but so does the ability to interpret who each drawing represents—making it an activity that tests team bonds.

Pedometer Game

Pedometer Game

An idea for turning a familiar health gadget—the pedometer—into a game.

Attach a pedometer to any part of your body you like, such as your hand, foot, or waist, and move like crazy for one minute! Rack up as many steps as you can! The person with the highest step count wins, of course.

The numbers will probably vary depending on where you attach it, right? You could also spice it up by giving a penalty to the person with the lowest step count.

If you don’t have enough pedometers, another option is to install a pedometer app on a smartphone and hold it in your hand while you move around.

What’s inside the box?

What's inside the box?

Battle the fear of the unknown with the “What’s in the Box?” game! You stick only your hand into a box without knowing what’s inside and try to guess the contents.

Touching things you can’t see—like wet, perishable items or slippery textures such as konnyaku—can be downright terrifying, but from the audience’s perspective, watching those nervous reactions is irresistibly funny! It’s perfect as entertainment to liven up New Year’s or year-end parties, but be sure to choose the items carefully so everyone can have fun without injuries or mishaps.
