Who is DADA GAUGUIN, the mastermind behind OMON3?
DADA GAUGUIN, the organizer of OMON3, is a one-person band based in Osaka, primarily focused on releasing recorded music.
His compositions are characterized by a worldview that feels as if someone is reading you a picture book.
With its narrative-style lyrics and endlessly thrilling guitar riffs, the song comes together as a delicate yet gentle piece.
What’s more, even though he performs alone, his live show features visually intriguing production—like bass and guitar amps sounding, and video projections using a projector.
His music is full of ideas that satisfy not only the ears but also the eyes.

What is OMON (Omon)?
This project, OMON, hosted by DADA GAUGUIN, is now in its third iteration.

In the past, illustrious bands like Triple Fire and Veranda have performed, and the lineup for this edition of OMON3 is just as spectacular, as if to say it’s no less impressive than before.
First, the first pair is FILMREEL.
A band that sways the audience’s hearts and bodies with a unique worldview and a comfortable rhythm.
We’ll be performing from Tokyo, bringing our new release “Dawn of Film.”
The second group is my letter from Kyoto.
Amazingly, it’s the band whose lead role was finally decided after the organizer, DADA GAUGUIN, kept sending offers to OMON1.
Their band sound, famed as an art-punk band, can be summed up in a single word: art.
The third act is Totsuzen Shonen from Tokyo.
The sounds they make ignite a fire in the listener’s heart and set it ablaze with passion.
Even in Osaka, you’re sure to feel an intensity so great it can’t be contained by the venue.
For OMON 3 this time, in line with the organizers’ wish for visitors to enjoy the venue as a museum during the transition, numerous artworks will be exhibited throughout the space.
Exactly a fusion project between an art museum and a live music venue.
It’s sure to be a day where you can enjoy art from a variety of perspectives.

Call for Artworks and Background Music
We are currently accepting submissions for artworks to display at OMON3.
There’s no need to set a theme, and it doesn’t have to be limited to illustrations or photos—videos or objects are also acceptable.
And it seems that one of the entries will be used as the flyer for this project.
They say they are waiting for applications from creators of all kinds around the world.
They are also simultaneously recruiting background music to be played during the set change.
This is being solicited under the theme of “seems like it would be played in a museum.”
Other than that, there seem to be no conditions, and things like whether vocals are included don’t matter.
The first deadline for art submissions (eligible for flyer selection) is October 10. The second deadline (exhibition only) is November 5, and the deadline for BGM submissions is also November 5.
