There are lots of words that start with “pa,” like “puzzle,” “punk,” and “party,” and plenty of songs that begin with those words, too.

In this article, we’ll introduce a bunch of songs whose titles start with “pa.”

Use it as a hint for games like “song shiritori,” where you play using only song titles, or “shiritori karaoke,” where you link songs in a chain while singing at karaoke.

It can also help when you want to create a playlist themed around the Japanese syllabary, like a “songs starting with the ‘pa’ row” list.

You might even discover tracks you don’t usually sing or listen to!

palettesaidāgāru

Cidergirl is a three-piece rock band.

They provided the song Palette as the theme for the film Ani Tomo (My Brother’s Friend).

It’s a pop tune that portrays the inner conflict of a woman who can’t be honest about her feelings of love.

The swiftly shifting melodies seem to reflect her wavering heart.

While the lyrics are quite heartrending, the bright melody and vocals make you feel energized when you listen.

If you’re feeling the same way, give it a listen and let it lift you up.

PARADISESazan Ōrusutāzu

It’s the theme song of the 1998 TV drama “Happy Mania,” a hip-hop-style track that makes extensive use of programmed beats and a funky brass section.

The lyrics address nuclear issues, and the English in the chorus accentuates a mechanical, impersonal feel.

Pamo-san, dirt in the gaps of the floor MusicShikakudotto

Get into the groove with this funky gag track! It’s a song by Vocaloid producer Shikakudot, released in February 2023.

It was an entry for the 2023 Gag Song Posting Festival.

Around January of the same year, the so-called “Pamo-san syntax” became a hot topic online.

A line spoken by the game streamer Jack O’Lantern while playing Pokémon Scarlet and Violet turned into an internet meme.

Shikakudot then turned that meme into a Vocaloid song—that’s the gist.

The joke is funny, of course, but what’s great is that the music itself is seriously top-tier.

PARA! PARA! Fried RiceJanīzu WEST

It’s an addictive track with comical lyrics and dialogue set to a bubbly sound.

Everyone has that food they just can’t resist eating, even while dieting.

By the way, one of Akito Kiriyama from Johnny’s WEST’s hobbies is dieting.

PARTY MANIACSJanīzu WEST

It’s included on the mini-album “Paripipo,” released in July 2015.

It’s an electro-style dance number, which is rare for Johnny’s WEST.

It’s a cool track that reveals a new side of them, different from their usual bright, pop, and refreshing image.

It’s a super refreshing summer song that compares the burst of inner energy to a snap-open parasol and a fizzy, popping soda! Created by the popular Vocaloid producer Nanahoshi Orchestra, known for their rock sound, it was released in 2022.

It’s an original piece written for MORE MORE JUMP!, the music unit featured in Project SEKAI COLORFUL STAGE! feat.

Hatsune Miku.

Miku’s free and lively vocals are adorable—perfectly matching the tropical vibe of the sound.
