[2026] Get the Party Pumping! Recommended Magic Tricks Summary (1–10)
Magic with a handkerchief

How about a magic trick where a pen suddenly appears from inside a handkerchief? Magic that uses a handkerchief you have on hand is nice because it requires no special preparation and can be done easily.
First, hide the pen in your hand, but make sure you never look at that hand.
The key to this trick is misdirection.
At a convenient moment, wave the handkerchief, and in that instant, move the pen.
This requires a technique that draws the audience’s eyes to the handkerchief’s movement, so practice thoroughly.
You can also adapt it with items other than a pen, as long as they can be concealed in your hand.
Levitation magic

It’s a magic trick where you crouch down and then quickly lift your whole body, making it look like you float slightly.
It relies on a series of small techniques to create an optical illusion, such as using slippers or matching the colors of your coat and footwear.
If you’re hiding part of your body with a coat, you use slippers—grabbing both with one foot, or concealing them by moving your hands behind your back.
If you’re making it look like your whole body rises slightly using shoes, you’ll need a gimmick: keep a hidden platform that can support one foot, connected to a reel extending from your back.
Teleportation Card Magic

This trick focuses on one card chosen from a set of eight playing cards.
After the card is returned, it appears to move between two piles that have been split in half.
Even though the chosen card should be in the pile of four that contains it, and the other pile should have four without it, the numbers change at the signal, and the card seems to travel—that’s the mysterious part.
There’s no setup until a single card is selected.
From that point, the way the card is returned and shuffled, along with how the cards are controlled while splitting into piles, ensures that by the time the piles are formed, the card has already been transferred to the other side.
By creating a small break with the pinky and using it to move the card, it’s important to perform at a consistent speed so as not to give anything away.
[2026] Crowd-Pleasers at Parties! Recommended Magic Tricks (11–20)
Disposable chopstick magic

This is a magic trick where, when you flip the marked chopstick toward you, the mark seems to move to the other side, and not only that—waving your hand over it makes the marks suddenly multiply.
The secret is that when you bring it forward, you don’t flip it straight; you quickly spin it with your fingers so the same face stays facing the audience.
Essentially, you keep showing the side with the mark, and at the end, when you wave your hand, you rotate it to make it look like a bunch of pre-drawn marks suddenly appear.
Taking the chopstick out of the wrapper and drawing the mark right in front of them are key actions to make it seem like there’s no trick involved.
The finger-detaching magic trick

This is a finger-detachment magic trick you can perform anytime, anywhere.
First, pinch around the first joint of your thumb with the thumb and index finger of your other hand.
Wiggle it as if you’re grinding it, and as you bring it forward, secretly swap the thumb you were holding with the thumb of your other hand.
In other words, you create the illusion that the tip of your bent thumb is connected to the tip of the other hand’s thumb.
Then, by slightly separating your hands, it looks as if your thumb has come off.
Adding a reaction as you separate them could make it even more entertaining.
levitation magic

Magic tricks where you borrow a bill from the audience are so cool, aren’t they? So let me introduce the floating bill trick.
The prop you use is called an elastic thread—just think of it as an extremely thin strand.
Once you wrap this thread around your wrist, you’re ready.
Next, borrow a bill from the spectator and place it on the thread stretched between your hands.
It will look as if the bill is floating.
You can pull off this trick with other lightweight objects too, not just bills.
Tissue Paper Revival Magic

When you want to liven up a party a bit, this tissue paper restoration trick is a great choice.
All you need is a single tissue—no special gimmicks required.
Secretly keep a pre-torn piece of tissue hidden, then pretend to tear a tissue in front of everyone.
After that, reveal the tissue that you never actually tore, and it will look as if the hole has magically mended itself.
It’s easy to perform at any gathering—dinners with friends or family, year-end parties, New Year celebrations, you name it.
No special skills needed, so give it a little secret practice!
