ACIDMAN Popular Song Rankings [2026] (11–20)

Stay in my handACIDMAN11rank/position

This is the title track of ACIDMAN’s 24th single, a song that bursts forward from an intro driven by an aggressive sound.

It’s a no-frills masterpiece where the powerful yet transparent voice of guitarist-vocalist Nobuo Oki and the simple arrangement unique to a three-piece band truly resonate.

In particular, the classic structure—dropping down in the bridge (C-melo) and reaching a peak at the final chorus—shines in this track, and the music video matches that tension, growing increasingly frenzied as it races toward the end.

AlchemistACIDMAN12rank/position

This 2012 release, The Alchemist, is a song inspired by the novel of the same name that also lends its title.

The lyrics compare life to a journey, making it a weighty track that’s quintessentially ACIDMAN.

Acidman – Millennium MV
MillenniumACIDMAN

A classic Japanese rock song by ACIDMAN that boosts a stylish sound and outstanding mood, featuring a lyrical approach with a modern, loud impression.

The familiar, easy-on-the-ear vocals carry a strong presence, making it a cool track that’s also perfect for autumn.

the year 2145ACIDMAN14rank/position

It’s a single track set in an SF world where the protagonist is a robot that has acquired a heart.

It forges the flow from “The Year 2045,” which closes out the 8th album ALMA, into “Wonderland.” The beauty, complexity, warmth, and weight of the heart—so many elements are carried by the music and expressed in just under five minutes with a level of mastery that is nothing short of breathtaking.

The music video faithfully recreates the world depicted in the lyrics, becoming a moving work that goes far beyond a typical MV.

Be sure to watch the powerful performance by Nozomi the Robot, one of Japan’s leading performers.

EVERLIGHTACIDMAN15rank/position

EVERLIGHT, the 23rd single, released on April 16, 2014.

It was the first single of 2014, and the jacket illustration is said to use Yoshiaki Odagiri’s work titled “Light.” I strongly felt that the lyrics depict the three elements—earth, sky, and sea—along with the upbringing and growth of a single boy.

FREE STARACIDMAN16rank/position

This is the lead track from ACIDMAN’s sixth album, “LIFE.” According to guitarist-vocalist Nobuo Oki, it tells the story of a city that slipped out of the solar system’s orbit after an interplanetary war.

In this city where light no longer reaches, light has become a commodity, and the song evokes a sci-fi image centered on children who gather remnants of light from the past.

It’s a work that highlights the band’s hallmark melodic lines and sonic beauty, and it has become a signature song recognized by all—so much so that they later used its title for the name of the independent office they established.

OVERACIDMAN17rank/position

ACIDMAN – OVER (LIVE TOUR “A beautiful greed” at Nippon Budokan, 2009-12-22)
OVERACIDMAN

This song expresses the pain and growth of moving forward over time through adversity.

With Nobuo Ooki’s uniquely weathered vocals, each word seems to seep into the heart, making it a beloved classic among ACIDMAN fans.

It’s a deeply affecting yet powerful work, brimming with what they call “the power of song, the power of lyrics.”

REMINDACIDMAN18rank/position

This is one of the tracks included as the lead song on the 13th single, “REMIND.” Overall, it’s a very fast-paced number, but even within that momentum there are quieter sections, which in turn make the drive feel even more intense.

Personally, I found the arpeggios in the quieter parts more enjoyable to listen to than the sections overflowing with speed.

RebirthACIDMAN19rank/position

Non-credit ACIDMAN “Rebirth” | [Anime] Ahiru no Sora | Opening
RebirthACIDMAN

This is a song chosen as the fourth cour opening theme for the TV Tokyo–affiliated anime Ahiru no Sora.

Created by the rock band ACIDMAN, it was released as a digital single in September 2020.

It features a groovy bassline and an emotionally charged development in the chorus.

The lyrics sing of the courage to overcome adversity and be reborn as a new self.

It’s a recommended track not only for basketball and anime fans, but also for students dedicated to their club activities.

ACIDMAN – Your Song (Second line & Acoustic live at Shibuya Public Hall 2011-10-13)
Your SongACIDMAN

This is an acoustic version of a track included on the debut album Sou, released in 2002.

The song is notable for its refreshing chord progression, and the acoustic arrangement enhances that freshness even more.

Oki’s husky vocals leave a strong impression.
