AKB48 Commercial Song and Popular Song Rankings [2026]
GIVE ME FIVE !AKB481rank/position

This is AKB48’s 25th single, tagged with the catchphrase: “Once we’ve cried our fill, let’s high-five!” The center is AKB’s immovable ace, Atsuko Maeda.
It’s the group’s fifth so-called “sakura song,” and a rare single for them in that it was released with a full band arrangement.
The title “GIVE ME FIVE” refers to a high-five, and it feels like this one phrase contains the beautiful youthfulness of “We’re graduating and going our separate ways, but let’s end it with a smiling high-five.” It’s a cherry blossom song full of memories that makes you stop what you’re doing and watch whenever it comes on in a commercial.
So longAKB482rank/position

It was released in 2013 as AKB48’s 30th major single.
It is the sixth “sakura song” among AKB48’s singles.
“So long” is used with the meaning of “see you,” implying that you’ll meet again.
It was chosen as the CM song for NTT Docomo’s “Ouen Gakuwari: Became AKB-only / Supporting Your First Confession” commercials.
Sky of GugutasuAKB483rank/position

This is the song used in the 2012 SAMSUNG docomo NEXT series Galaxy Nexus Pure Google “Google+ AKB48 Gugutasu Senbatsu” commercial.
Sixteen members of AKB48 selected for Gugutasu appear in the ad and also perform the song.
Sayonara CrawlAKB484rank/position

It was released in 2013 as AKB48’s 31st major single.
The song features Yuko Oshima, Mayu Watanabe, Tomomi Itano, and Haruka Shimazaki in the center positions, and it was used in Ezaki Glico’s PaPiCO commercials: the “Compatibility Check PaPiCO” and “Really Splitting a PaPiCO in Half” editions.
It’s a wonderful summer-themed track with a music video where they dance in cute swimsuits by the seaside.
Share your happinessAKB485rank/position

Evoking the perspective of the bride’s friend, this song is AKB48’s 45th single, released in 2016.
It’s a gentle, heartwarming track that conjures images of everyone surrounding the most beautiful bride of her life to celebrate her, and simply listening to it fills you with a quiet sense of happiness.
Halloween NightAKB486rank/position

This is a Halloween-themed song by AKB48 that fully incorporates disco sounds from the 1970s and 1980s.
Released in August 2015 as their 41st major single, it was used as the theme song for Fuji TV’s “Odaiba Yume Tairiku” and in Asahi Soft Drinks’ “WONDA” commercials.
The four-on-the-floor rhythm and mirror-ball-like synths amplify the message of making the most of that one special night of the year.
The simple choreography by Papaya Suzuki, which anyone can dance to, is another highlight.
It’s the perfect track for dressing up and partying with friends, getting everyone hyped at karaoke, or fully enjoying an autumn night.
Ponytail and ScrunchieAKB487rank/position

Released in 2010, “Ponytail to Shushu” is AKB48’s 16th single and a refreshing song perfect for summer.
Its sparkling ocean imagery and bright smiles leave a strong impression and make you forget the summer heat.
The upbeat rhythm makes it easy to dance to, and it’s a song everyone can sing along to and get excited with.
It was featured in Ito-Yokado’s summer commercial with the catchphrase, “Does a ponytail suit me?” Atsuko Maeda and Minami Takahashi served as the centers, and the song is well-known as a summer anthem, especially among AKB48 fans but also across a wide range of generations.
Packed with the members’ youthfulness and a sense of hope for the future—and bursting with AKB48’s cuteness—it’s a track that lets you fully enjoy the essence of summer.
