Yes, the summer festival.angela29rank/position

There’s a song that brilliantly expresses the heat and festive spirit of summer through sound.

Created by angela, this piece features KATSU’s sanshin and powerful Japanese taiko as a backdrop, while atsuko channels summer’s heat with her voice, delivering a track that makes you feel as if you’re right in the middle of a Japanese summer festival.

The lyrics skillfully weave in not only the bustling energy of a festival under the blazing sun, but also phrases that evoke traditional rain-invoking rituals, conjuring a scene where prayers to nature merge with the fervor of the people.

This track is an original new song included on the album “LOVE & CARNIVAL,” released in August 2016, which reached No.

4 on the Oricon charts.

It’s a perfect choice for those seeking live-concert-level intensity and the uniquely moving spirit of a Japanese summer.

It’s the ending theme of “Seitokai Yakuindomo.” The lyrics are from a female perspective about relatable student-life experiences, but the comical tone means it wouldn’t feel out of place for a man to sing it either.

If you can nail the rapid-fire delivery of verse one, verse two, and the ending, it’s a pretty exhilarating and fun song.

azure skyangela31rank/position

angela “Sōkyū” PV (short ver.)
azure skyangela

The ending theme of the 2010 theatrical anime Fafner in the Azure: Heaven and Earth.

I believe it’s a song directed toward the protagonist by Soushi Minashiro, who returned after the Second Azure Operation, and toward Misao Kurusu of the Festum.

You could say it’s Soushi Minashiro’s theme song, filled with his feelings.

angela “Knight’s March” (13th Anniversary Debut Special: Expanded Edition – All Theme Songs Live!!)
Knight's Marchangela

This is the opening theme of Knights of Sidonia.

The singer has a powerful, wide vocal range, yet delivers a very meticulous performance.

The song also features a distinctive, almost martial, melody, which gives it a bit of an addictive quality.

It’s very satisfying to sing this artist’s songs at karaoke, so I hope you’ll learn it.

angela × fripSide “I Am Myself” Music Clip (short ver.)
I am myselfangela×fripSide

This is a collaborative song by angela and fripSide.

The collaboration between these popular artists became a hot topic.

The beautiful yet resolute vocals and harmonies are truly stirring.

It serves as the opening theme for the anime Ajin, adapted from the manga that was also made into a live-action film.

FORTUNESangela34rank/position

One of the image songs for the 2010 theatrical anime Fafner in the Azure: HEAVEN AND EARTH.

The lyrics, which seem to express the protagonist’s feelings toward his childhood friend who vanished after promising to “return to Tatsumiya Island someday,” have led some fans to call it a “depressing song.” In a sense, it could even be considered the theme song for the protagonist, Kazuki Makabe.

Separation[pf]angela35rank/position

“Separation [pf]” is an arrangement of “Separation,” which appears on the single “Shangri-La.” It was used as the ending theme for an episode where someone disappears.

In the anime, the second verse of the lyrics was used, and episode 6, focusing on Shoko Hasama, left a strong impression.
