air band64rank/position

When you’re suddenly asked to do a performance—or you’ve been asked but you’re too busy to prepare much—an air band is highly recommended! This video is from the World Air Band Championship “Airness Japan,” featuring a three-piece band performing with air guitar, air bass, and air drums.
Pick a crowd-pleasing song and go all out with your performance!
karaoke65rank/position

When it comes to classic entertainment for large gatherings, karaoke is probably the go-to.
People of all ages can enjoy it, and it has the added appeal of creating a sense of unity in the room.
Of course, some may want to practice if they’re going to perform, but if it’s a song you usually sing, you can probably get by without much rehearsal.
Start by choosing songs that match the atmosphere of the occasion—like weddings, year-end parties, or welcome parties.
Alternatively, picking songs that suit the age group of the attendees is sure to get everyone excited.
Hige Dance66rank/position

In the hugely popular show “It’s 8 O’Clock! Everyone Gather Around,” The Drifters’ Cha Kato and Ken Shimura performed the “Hige Dance.” Even among people who aren’t from the Drifters generation, the distinctive routine—wearing black tailcoats and fake mustaches, moving while lifting and lowering both shoulders to the characteristic music known as the “Hige” theme—is well known! And it wasn’t just the dance they performed during the Hige Dance.
They livened up living rooms across the country by doing various tricks in between, like twirling hula hoops and swinging buckets filled with water.
Performing this quintessential Japanese act is sure to delight the Drifters generation and entertain everyone else as well!
Finger dance67rank/position

Finger dancing is a magical kind of entertainment that turns in-person gatherings into something special.
No matter how small the venue, you can start anywhere, anytime.
Watch the many trending videos on YouTube, master the dynamic movements of your fingertips, and you’ll quickly become the center of attention! All you need is a smartphone and your favorite music.
With no advance preparation required, it’s perfect for impromptu performances.
There’s plenty of beginner-friendly learning material, and because you can look cool in a short time, finger dancing is a highly recommended party item.
A tangerine floating in midair68rank/position

It’s a quick trick where you stick a mandarin orange onto your thumb to make it look like it’s floating in midair.
Make sure the audience always watches from directly in front.
Even a slight change in angle is fatal.
The method itself is simple—focus on how to draw people into the magic.
Rubber band magic69rank/position
Here’s a simple one-shot trick you can do with just two rubber bands.
Arrange the rubber bands so they form a plus sign, and hook them over your index finger and thumb.
They’ll get tangled with your fingers and seem impossible to remove, right? But if you overlay and twist the rubber bands a few times… they slip right off! Even if you look closely, there doesn’t seem to be any trick, yet the intertwined rubber bands come apart.
If you watch in slow motion, you’ll see that while twisting, the rubber band shifts from the index finger to the middle finger, and when you return the rubber band, you also return the index finger but insert it into the loop on the thumb side.
With some practice on presentation, it’s flawless!
Joiman70rank/position

Liven up the crowd with a perfect imitation of Joyman’s eternally funny rhyme-heavy rap! As long as you’ve got that well-known “Na-na-na~ na-na-na~” rhythm, you can use either Joyman’s material or your own original bits.
Plenty of rhyme-rap examples are uploaded on Joyman’s video site and on Takagi-san’s Twitter.
Don’t forget the airplane wing hands and the side-to-side swaying gesture! We also recommend “Shū-nana Kinomi Nana” (Seven days a week, Kinomi Nana) and “Kujaku/ Hijack.”
