BLANKEY JET CITY Popular Song Rankings [2026] (11–20)
DERRINGERBLANKEY JET CITY15rank/position

Included on the 14th single released in 1998, “SWEET DAYS/DERRINGER.” It’s a double A-side.
I think it’s a perfect track for the Halloween season.
Bassist Toshiyuki Terui prefers “SWEET DAYS,” while frontman Kenichi Asai and drummer Tatsuya Nakamura prefer “DERRINGER,” so it might be fun to compare the two.
They sadly disbanded in 2000.
CAT WAS DEADBLANKEY JET CITY16rank/position

Included on the 1991 album “Red Guitar And The Truth.” A three-piece rock band from Aichi Prefecture formed in 1987.
I love the slightly minor-tinged chord progression in the intro—the tone gives me literal chills when I listen.
The rockabilly-style melody is cool and feels great, too.
RED-RUM (Dreaming Bell Boy)BLANKEY JET CITY17rank/position

This kind of sultry vibe… you can’t help but admire it.
It’s a track by the rock band BLANKEY JET CITY led by Benji, aka Kenichi Asai, included on their third album C.B.Jim released in 1993.
The sharp guitar phrases, gritty bass, and rhythmic drums—the ensemble is simply overwhelming.
Asai’s sweet vocals fit perfectly, too.
Packed with a jazzy feel yet firmly rockabilly at its core, this is a piece you should definitely add to your playlist!
