A magic trick where the color of the water in a plastic bottle changes85rank/position

A simple magic trick that even kids can do is this one where the water in a plastic bottle changes color.
At first glance, it’s just an ordinary bottle filled with clear water.
But if you say a magic spell and shake it… the water turns bright and colorful! The secret is very simple: a small amount of paint is applied to the inside of the bottle cap.
When you shake the bottle, the paint dissolves into the water and changes its color.
If you put the paint on the cap and close it right away, the paint may drip into the water, so it’s better to leave the cap with the paint on it for a bit to let it partially dry before sealing the bottle.
Make it with origami! Pinecone wreath86rank/position
It’s an idea for a wreath made not with real pinecones, but with pinecones crafted from origami.
First, crumple the origami paper once to add wrinkles and texture.
Then cut it in half, glue the pieces so they form a wide rectangle, and fold it in half so the top and bottom edges overlap.
Make fine slits along the looped edge, then roll it up tightly to complete the pinecone.
Make the leaves and red berries from origami as well.
Finally, attach the leaves to a wreath base made from thick cardstock, and decorate it with the pinecones and red berries to finish.
glasses straw87rank/position

When you think of straws, you usually picture the straight ones or the bendy ones that make drinking easier, right? But did you know there’s also something called “glasses straws” shaped like eyeglasses? You use them just like a regular straw—stick one end into your juice and drink—but because they’re shaped like glasses, you can actually wear them on your face like real eyewear! As you sip, the juice travels around your eyes, making these a fun, party-ready pair of novelty glasses.
If you play a game where people guess what juice someone is drinking through the glasses, it gets even more exciting!
ice cream ball88rank/position

Ice cream eaten in the hot summer is delicious, but ice cream enjoyed in a warm room during the cold winter is great too, isn’t it? Let me introduce the Ice Cream Ball, a fun way to make “winter ice cream” while you play! Put a mixture of heavy cream, vanilla extract, and sugar into the ball.
On the opposite opening, fill it with plenty of ice and salt—that’s all the prep you need.
Then spend about 10 minutes tossing, kicking, or rolling the ball around as you like.
After about 10 minutes, you’ll find ice cream has formed inside the ball! Why not try it as one of the desserts for your Christmas party?
Earphone Loud Telephone Game89rank/position

Let me introduce a game that’s perfect for a Christmas party: the “Loud Earphone Telephone Game.” In this game, everyone wears earphones and passes along a single sentence.
Make sure the volume on the earphones is fairly high.
Each person guesses the sentence by reading the previous player’s lips and then passes along what they think they heard.
Sentences with lots of similar words make it seem correct at first, but often end up unexpectedly different by the end—that’s what makes it so exciting.
It’s fun for both kids and adults, so bring it out when you have a big group and get the party going!
Surprise egg90rank/position

When it comes to Christmas, nothing beats waking up to presents.
Add a surprise twist with a Surprise Egg! It’s simple: just put the gift inside a large, egg-shaped wrapping.
When it’s time to open it, have the kids rip that egg-shaped wrapping to shreds.
Inside are lots of the toys they’ve been looking forward to! It’s a simple idea that just incorporates “ripping the wrapping paper,” but it’s a huge hit—especially with preschool and kindergarten-aged children!

Santa is here!91rank/position

On Christmas morning, finding presents by your pillow is such a delight.
Even adults get excited thinking that Santa brought Christmas gifts in the middle of the night.
And if children could actually meet the Santa who gives them presents, they would surely be astonished.
How about such a surprising gift? Santa appears from a big box! It will become a lifelong memory for the kids.
All you need is a simple setup: prepare a large box in a room filled with Christmas decorations, and have a real Santa pop out from inside.
Be sure to give it a try.
