Popular Gundam Song Rankings [2026]

The Gundam series marked the 40th anniversary since the broadcast of the original Mobile Suit Gundam in 2019.

I feel there aren’t many anime that people of all ages—from adults to children—can talk about across generations.

From that 40-year history, I’ve put together a ranked list of songs that have colored Gundam.

Let’s look back together!

I’m going to sleep now.Toda Keiko76rank/position

The famous song that played during Amuro and Lalah’s scene in episode 41, “A Cosmic Glow,” of the first TV anime series Mobile Suit Gundam.

The suggestive lyrics can feel a bit unsettling for a TV anime, but it remains highly popular among the First Gundam generation.

There are versions with dialogue and without.

A track colored by a fantastical melody and EDM beats suddenly appeared as the insert song in episode 3 of the TV anime “Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX,” captivating viewers.

Suisei Hoshimachi’s transparent, crystalline vocals beautifully capture the world of the series.

Evoking the stillness of night and the beauty of blooming flowers, this piece is perfect for a nighttime drive when you want lingering feelings to stay with you, for moments when you wish to step a little away from everyday life and drift into thought, and of course for fans of the same anime.

AURORAAoi Eiru

This is one of Eir Aoi’s signature songs, singing of hope for the future like a wandering light in space.

While depicting planets falling through gaps in torn clouds and the dawn breaking after nights drowned in tears, it portrays a strong will to face hardship.

The grand sound—combining powerful vocals with an emotionally rich melody—fits perfectly with the world of Gundam.

Released in September 2012, the song was used as the opening theme for Part 4 of Mobile Suit Gundam AGE and reached No.

22 on the Oricon weekly chart.

It’s a track you’ll want to listen to when you need to fire yourself up for challenges and adventures, or when you’re ready to take a step toward a big dream.

The ending theme of the TV anime “∀ (Turn A) Gundam.” With lyrics, composition, and vocals by Shinji Tanimura, it’s an unconventional song for the Gundam series.
