I tried adding CG animation to “Bird” from Okaasan to Issho
birdHanada Yuuichirou, Ono Atsuko

It’s a song about birds that can’t fly.

Ostriches, penguins, and chickens have wings, but they can’t soar through the sky.

Still, this song isn’t a lament about being unable to fly; it teaches us that even though we’re not all the same, each of us can live happily just as we are.

People, too, each have different appearances and personalities, but that’s not something strange or wrong—and that’s the message I want to share through this song.

Nana-iro no Shabondama (Seven-colored Bubbles) – Okaasan to Issho – April 2018 Song

Soap bubbles that children love.

The song voices a child’s adorable question: “If I rode on one of those bubbles and flew away, what would the town look like from the sky?” It’s a gentle, unhurried piece with a soft mood, like soap bubbles drifting through the air.

Like, you know… and stuff… ohhh, I get it, I get it.Hanada Yuuichirou, Ono Atsuko

Released in October 2021, the “Song of the Moon” is titled “Nannan, Tokatoka, Naa-runaru.” It’s a fun title, right? This song, with its mysterious vibe, was written and composed by TOBI, the vocalist of Les Romanesques—a music duo popular in Europe’s club scene and at festivals.

The lyrics are mostly just the words from the title, but their impact is sure to make kids love it.

The dance is slow in tempo yet flashy and amusing, so your children will definitely enjoy dancing to it!

Ninja GiraffeHanada Yuuichirou, Ono Atsuko32rank/position

Ninja Giraffe — Live-Action Version (Full Cover), from Okaasan to Issho
Ninja GiraffeHanada Yuuichirou, Ono Atsuko

This is a song with lyrics by Hiroo Takada, who is also famous for “Swim! Taiyaki-kun.” A giraffe who admires ninjas goes “poof!” and tries to vanish like a ninja during hide-and-seek, but because it’s so big, it gets found right away.

Aren’t there many children who, like this giraffe, admire ninjas?

It takes courage to try something you’ve never done before—even for adults.

All the more so for little kids who don’t have much experience in the world yet.

But maybe this upbeat song will help lift their spirits.

There are surely many parents who want their children to take on all kinds of challenges with the attitude this song conveys.

Sometimes they’ll fail.

But if they succeed, let’s celebrate with a big “Panpaka-paan!”—just like the song’s title!

A Drop of StarHanada Yuuichirou, Ono Atsuko34rank/position

[Okaasan to Issho New Song] A Drop from the Star (Male and Female Vocals) NHK E-Tele
A Drop of StarHanada Yuuichirou, Ono Atsuko

The monthly children’s song feature “Song of the Month” for July 2021 is Hoshi no Hitoshizuku (A Drop of Star).

Written and composed by steel pan player Tonchi, this song has a soothing steel pan sound and is sung as a duet by Yuichiro Oniisan and Atsuko Oneesan.

The dance gently sways like the melody—yura~ yura~—so even little kids can relax and move along to the music.

It’s popular with children, of course, but especially with moms, making it a great pick for parents and kids to enjoy together.

Magical La-La-La♪Hanada Yuuichirou, Ono Atsuko35rank/position

[Okaasan to Issho February 2022 Song] “Mahou no La La La♪” Cover
Magical La-La-La♪Hanada Yuuichirou, Ono Atsuko

“Mahou no La La La♪” was released as the song for February 2022.

It was the monthly song for the final month of Atsuko Ono (Ono Atsuko Onee-san), who graduated in March 2022.

The lyrics were written by Aritarou and Takanori Mizoguchi, and the music was composed by Taro Masuda.

This is a very gentle song that encourages young children who find it hard to sing out confidently.

Since the “la la la” in the title is repeated many times, even children who can only sing quietly at first will likely find themselves singing louder before they know it.

Try singing it together with lots of energy!
