It’s a song included on Tamio Okuda’s third original album, FAILBOX, released in 1997.
The track was used as the ending theme for the NHK period drama Shin Han-sachi Torimonocho.
The “two people” mentioned in the lyrics refers to PUFFY, and the song contains a message to them.

Tamio Okuda, who sings “Seishun,” was also the vocalist of the rock band Unicorn.
After the band disbanded in 1993, he began a solo career, delighting fans.
He is also widely known for producing PUFFY.

Tamio Okuda’s songs have a unique charm that combines a laid-back feel with breezy freshness.
This work is included in “OT DONUTS BURN,” a collection of 20 tracks he personally selected from over 20 years of solo activity.
Released in October 2014 as a strictly limited edition, the project offered a valuable opportunity to reflect on Okuda’s musical career.
In addition to his talents as a singer-songwriter, Okuda is also known as a producer, having worked with artists like PUFFY and Kaela Kimura.
He’s famously a huge fan of the Hiroshima Carp, and it’s said that official “Tamio Boy” merchandise—modeled after the team’s Carp Boy mascot—has even been sold.
Easy to listen to and relaxing, this release makes perfect everyday background music.
It’s recommended not only for Okuda’s fans but also for anyone seeking a soothing listen.

As the group name suggests, this is the signature song by the special musical duo of Yosui Inoue and Tamio Okuda.
It was released in 1997 as their debut single.
Chosen for a Sapporo Beer commercial, it drew attention and became a hit.
Many fathers likely listened to their music in their youth.
It might be fun to duet with your dad at karaoke.

This is the B-side track from his first solo single, released during the UNICORN era.
With a laid-back, almost lazy vibe that foreshadows the post-breakup Okuda Tamio world, it’s something you can listen to at a relaxed pace.
As for the lyrics—do they ultimately mean nothing after all?

I’ve loved them since the Unicorn days, and even back then he was already standing out.
I think it’s a song that wouldn’t exist without Tamio.
I listened to it over and over at the time, and sang it many times at karaoke.
