The moment the exhilarating guitar intro soars like taking flight into the sky, the whole atmosphere instantly brightens, doesn’t it? With a theme evoking the sky and wings, this powerful, encouraging song wraps up both the resolve to move forward and a touch of anxiety.

It was included on [Alexandros]’s double A-side single released in March 2015, and it also opened the album ALXD, released in June of the same year.

Having been featured in various places—such as the film Akegarasu’s theme song and in TV commercials—many of you have probably heard it before.

In an intro quiz, that pleasant opening melody is sure to bring smiles to many faces.

It’s a great pick for gatherings with seniors or for lively times when everyone wants to have fun together.

All of the YouthFujifaburikku22rank/position

When it comes to Fujifabric’s signature songs, many people would probably name “Wakamono no Subete.” Released as a single in November 2007, it has been featured in numerous tie-ins, including as the opening theme for NTV’s “Oto Moe!” and in a LINE Mobile commercial.

Inspired by the fireworks of Yamanashi Prefecture—hometown of Masahiko Shimura, who wrote and composed the song—this piece delicately portrays the end of youth, the unease of changing everyday life, and hope for the future.

Its lyrical melody, imbued with the bittersweet air of twilight, perfectly matches images of fireworks bursting at summer’s end.

It’s a classic you’ll want to choose as background music when you want to create an emotional, nostalgic atmosphere.

Youth is a cycle of challenges.

This work by Sambomaster offers wholehearted support to everyone giving their all in those days.

Overflowing with a message to keep moving forward without giving up, its characteristically straightforward rock sound and powerful vocals reach many hearts.

Released as a single in February 2010, it was originally written as a song for a Nissan Motor commercial.

Later, in July 2018, it was adopted as an image song for a TBS Friday drama, and it’s been loved for a long time.

Overall, it’s a very positive cheer-up song, and since the vocal range isn’t particularly wide, even a rough delivery still sounds fitting.

Enjoy belting it out together at karaoke or events!

Thank youSUPER BEAVER

SUPER BEAVER is a rock band beloved for Japanese lyrics that resonate deeply and for their high-energy live shows.

This song, included on their album “361°,” released in February 2014, is a moving number themed around gratitude—perfect for the season of farewells and new beginnings.

Despite having no specific tie-in, it has been cherished and performed for many years as words that form the band’s “core,” even inspiring two different music videos.

The message, which reinterprets the meaning of “gratitude” not as a simple thank-you but as the miracle of meeting and the vivid feeling of being alive, is truly touching.

As March brings graduations and fresh starts, listen while thinking of those who supported you and the friends you hold dear.

With warm tears, you’ll surely find the courage to move forward.

This is one of UNISON’s signature songs, released on May 20, 2015.

It was used as the ending theme for the anime Blood Blockade Battlefront, featuring the band’s characteristic blend of technical skill and pop sensibilities.

It’s a refreshing rock number that enjoys huge popularity on streaming platforms and YouTube.

Since Saito, UNISON’s vocalist, sings incredibly high, it’s highly recommended for those who naturally have a high vocal range.

The melody also moves at a rapid pace, so first make sure to thoroughly internalize the melodic line.

Until you get used to it, it might be better to practice by humming rather than singing the lyrics.

My Hair is Bad – Confession (Official Music Video)
confessionMy Hair is Bad

One of the most popular songs by My Hair is Bad, a three-piece rock band that enjoys immense popularity in the Japanese rock scene.

Kicking off with an eye-catching drum phrase and maintaining a powerful sense of speed throughout, this track blazes by in just about two minutes.

What’s more, there’s a relatively long instrumental section in the middle, leaving even fewer opportunities to sing.

The vocal melody has intricate rhythms, so it’s tough to sing if you don’t already know the song.

But if you like their music and aren’t confident in your singing—or prefer not to sing long songs—give this one a try!

Hand in handkuriipuhaipe27rank/position

Whether it’s a breakup or a fight with a friend, sometimes we crack our relationships and end up regretting it deeply.

Te to Te (Hand in Hand) depicts that very inner turmoil.

Specifically, it portrays the restless late-night hours spent alone, wrestling with one’s thoughts.

The track is by the band CreepHyp, fronted by vocalist Ozaki Sekai-kan.

His high-tone voice and the raw guitar melodies perfectly complement the song’s world.

Give it a listen on a sleepless night.

March 9Remioromen29rank/position

This renowned ballad is filled with the joy of envisioning the future with a loved one amid the changing seasons and a warm wish to be each other’s emotional support.

Released by Remioromen in March 2004, the song remains enduringly popular, including at karaoke.

It has a lovely backstory: it was originally created for a friend of the band members who was getting married in March 2002.

Included on the album “ether,” it was later re-released and featured as an insert song in TV dramas and in commercials, leading it to be cherished by many.

It’s a moving song that we especially recommend for moments when you want to feel the small realizations of everyday life and the bonds between people, or when you want to reaffirm your gratitude to someone important.

Confession RehearsalHONEY WORKS

This is a novelization of popular HoneyWorks songs that gained traction on Niconico, in which the story unfolds as themes from tracks like “The First Love’s Picture Book” and “The Answer to Jealousy” intersect while childhood friend Natsuki hides her unrequited feelings for Yuu.

Written by Toako Fujitani and published by Kadokawa Beans Bunko, it’s a flagship title of the Confession Executive Committee ~Love Series~, which was also adapted into an anime.

The overall vocal range of the song spans A3–E5, a relatively calm range that should be easy even for Haniwa beginners to sing.

The rhythm in the A-melody section is a bit complex, so practice repeatedly with clear, crisp enunciation.
