“Silhouette” is a song by KANA-BOON and their fifth major-label single, released on November 26, 2014.

I don’t think you need exceptionally high vocal skills to sing KANA-BOON’s songs, but for many people the sticking point might be their distinctive, slightly high-pitched vocal tone.

As long as you can handle that, the melody itself isn’t particularly difficult, so I think it’s a selection that should be easy for almost anyone to sing.

If you sing it in the original key, pay attention to the high notes—especially the transitions between chest voice and falsetto.

Listen closely to the original, study where and how different vocal techniques are used, and then try singing it.

If you’re not confident, you should be fine lowering the key!

RADWIMPS, who have long been at the forefront of Japan’s rock scene.

Many people may have discovered them through recent movie theme songs, but I recommend listening to their early albums in order as well.

That’s probably the fastest way to understand how amazing they are.

Effeminate; overly sentimental; being clingy/whiny (context-dependent)Gōruden Bonbā74rank/position

Familiar from TV and the NHK New Year’s Eve music show, this song captures the feelings of a heartbroken man with an upbeat melody.

Its message—filled with lingering attachment to an ex, regret, and the wish to be together again—has resonated with many.

Released in October 2009, the track has spawned yearly “buzzword” versions that reflect the spirit of the times.

In fiscal 2013, it won the JASRAC Gold Award, a remarkable feat for an indie release.

It was also used in a House Foods “Mega Shaki” commercial, gaining popularity across a wide audience.

Perfect for amping up sports festivals and dance events, it’s a crowd-pleaser that kids and adults alike can enjoy dancing to.

An ambitious work crafted by Official HIGE DANDism as the opening theme for the anime Tokyo Revengers.

The song fuses lyrics that brilliantly capture the anime’s worldview with an innovative sound that shifts keys roughly ten times.

It sings of the protagonist’s indomitable spirit in the face of fate, his comeback from setbacks, and the bonds with his friends, inspiring courage and emotion in listeners.

Since its release in May 2021, it peaked at No.

It continued to be a long-running hit, ranking 13th on the year-end chart for 2021.

As you’d expect, if it’s the theme song of a massively popular anime, you can look forward to a great response at karaoke.

“Saikō Tōtatsuten,” released by SEKAI NO OWARI in 2023, is a digital-only single written as the opening theme for the TV anime ONE PIECE.

The lyric video featuring ONE PIECE footage drew attention as well.

With its catchy, anime-like appeal, refreshing vibe, and a uniquely SEKAI NO OWARI world that even weaves in a marching band-style arrangement midway, this song is sure to liven up any karaoke session.

The melody line stays within a fairly steady pitch range, so even those with lower voices should be able to handle it by adjusting the key.

End the worldHarukamirai

A four-piece rock band that made their major debut in 2019, Harukamirai’s third single.

With a solid, no-frills sound built on simple instrumentation, an easy-to-groove rhythm, and straightforward vocals, it’s an accessible track that’s perfect for a school festival stage.

There are many unison parts, making it a song everyone can sing together and get pumped up with, so adding it to your setlist can help create dynamic contrast in your live show.

Since there are no difficult phrases like guitar solos, it’s also an easy number for beginner bands to cover—ideal if the school festival stage will be your first live performance.
