The Land of ‘Good Job’ (Otsukaresama)Saitō Kazuyoshi1rank/position

Singer-songwriter Kazuyoshi Saito, whose 2011 release Yasashiku Naritai became a massive hit.
His 2008 release Otsukaresama no Kuni is a song that takes a positive look at a world overflowing with “otsukaresama” (a common Japanese phrase expressing appreciation for someone’s hard work).
That said, it isn’t an endlessly cheerful tune; its lyrics and melody gently accompany you in tough times—that’s the song’s charm.
His gentle voice and guitar may even have a soothing effect.
Listening to this track might just change the way you think about the word otsukaresama!
I’ll walk home.Saitō Kazuyoshi2rank/position

There are surely many people who, on their way home from work, feel completely worn out and gloomy.
For times like that, I highly recommend Kazuyoshi Saito’s song “Aruite Kaerou” (Let’s Walk Home).
Released in 1994, it became the theme song for the children’s TV program Ponkikkies and won popularity with both kids and adults.
Doesn’t the guitar intro already lift your spirits a bit? Just like the title “Let’s Walk Home” suggests, it’s a feel-good track that will make you want to walk home and give you a boost of energy.
Let’s go on the offensive.Saitō Kazuyoshi3rank/position

Kazuyoshi Saito’s single “Semete Ikōze!” released in 2015—also featured as the jingle for House Foods’ ‘Ukon no Chikara’ commercial—is a song we especially want those who’ve lost confidence to hear, whether from making mistakes at work or feeling nervous under the weight of a big project.
With the laid-back vibe characteristic of “the Kazuyoshi Saito style,” yet powered by very strong lyrics, it’ll give you a solid push forward if you’re facing a nerve-wracking moment on the job.
Ballad of a SingerSaitō Kazuyoshi4rank/position

This is a single released in 2001.
It’s a song that portrays the ordinary moments of everyday life with a loved one.
It’s a masterpiece that reminds you how happy it is not to be alone—having someone you love who listens even to the little, trivial things.
I’ve always liked you.Saitō Kazuyoshi5rank/position

It was written for Shiseido’s IN&ON commercial.
The theme is a class reunion.
The lyrics tell a story of meeting your first love again and confessing your feelings, set to straightforward rock.
Trying a confession at a class reunion might be a nice idea, too.
Wedding SongSaitō Kazuyoshi6rank/position

When it comes to classic wedding songs, this one tops the list: Kazuyoshi Saito’s “Wedding Song.” Originally produced as the theme for the wedding magazine Zexy’s TV commercial, it became a hot topic and is now one of Saito’s signature tracks.
It’s a moving ballad often performed at weddings.
It conveys the feeling that everyone is wholeheartedly celebrating this day—wishing the couple happiness.
If you’re looking for a celebratory wedding song, this track delivers that mood perfectly! It’s also great for acoustic solo performances.
Don’t Worry, Be HappySaitō Kazuyoshi7rank/position

It’s a song released by Kazuyoshi Saito in 2009—an incredibly bright, uplifting, and positive tune.
Just listening to it blows away worries and stress, making you feel happy.
Highly recommended when you’re feeling down or need a boost of energy.
It’s okaySaitō Kazuyoshi8rank/position

This is a song included on Kazuyoshi Saito’s fourth album, FIRE DOG, released on February 28, 1996.
The laid-back lyrics, which help take the pressure off people who are trying their best, really hit home, and it’s a characteristically free-spirited work from Saito.
“It’s okay—things will work out, so for now, set down what you’re carrying and take it easy.” That message naturally brings a smile to people’s faces.
Bottomless beautySaitō Kazuyoshi9rank/position

Try singing this uplifting, feel-good anthem with all your heart! “Bottomless Beauty” is included on the 22nd album, PINEAPPLE, released in 2023.
As the title suggests, it’s a lively, spirited number.
Many listeners are sure to be encouraged by the lyrics’ message, “You’re a perfect woman.” In fact, even men will find themselves in a brighter mood.
Since the vocal range is on the lower side and easy to sing, put plenty of emotion into it and go for it!
Don’t cry, Glory Moon.Saitō Kazuyoshi10rank/position

A song whose warm vocals and gentle melody by Kazuyoshi Saito resonate with the heart.
It was released digitally in October 2024 and was newly written as the theme song for the TV Asahi drama “The Travel Nurse.” Like the light of the moon, it symbolically portrays a presence that quietly keeps watch over you.
It’s an encouraging anthem that gives you the courage to keep moving forward even amid days of setbacks and loneliness.
Through everyday scenes—like a boy who gets back up after failing, or the sound of a newspaper delivery bike announcing the dawn—it conveys a message of hope.
Saito’s voice, brimming with kindness and strength, makes you feel as if you’re being gently nudged forward.
