Sumika Popular Songs Ranking [2026] (61–70)
Beatnik -Bird-sumika64rank/position

This work, released in November 2025 by the Kanagawa-born rock band sumika, is an ambitious project that presents a single song in two different guises.
Centered on the theme of “liberation from oppression,” it portrays the concept from two angles: a dance track produced by TAKU INOUE, and a band-driven version featuring Tetsu Kinoshita of Raisan as a guest guitarist.
The former offers pleasing minimal beats and meticulous synth work, while the latter delivers an exhilarating surge with distorted guitars and a dramatic structure.
When you’re ready to break out of your shell, this song might just give you the push you need.

This is a track from the album “New World Orichalcum.” It’s a catchy song that grabs your ears with the rhythm of the guitar cutting.
It has a thrilling sense of speed that makes you want to start running, so it might be great to listen to while you go for a run.
Glittersumika66rank/position

This song is captivating with a brilliance like a light cutting through the darkness and a buoyant sense of speed.
Released by sumika as a single in July 2022, it became familiar as the opening theme for the second cour of the TV anime A Couple of Cuckoos.
With lyrics and composition by Kenta Kataoka, the chorus melody opens up your field of vision all at once; just listening to it makes your heart race and urges your once-stalled steps forward.
It’s a track we especially want those to hear who want to confess their feelings on Valentine’s Day but can’t quite find the courage to take that final step.
Along with the chocolate in your hand, why not spark a glittering miracle of love?

It’s the opening track on the album “AMUSIC,” released in March 2021, and starting in April of the same year, it was also used as the theme song for Nippon TV’s “Burari Tochu Gesha no Tabi”! It’s a popular song known for its warm lyrics and melody.
The track itself is on the shorter side at 2 minutes and 41 seconds, featuring a bouncy rhythm in the chorus.
In true sumika fashion, lift your eyebrows and sing with a bright voice! Also, the final chorus modulates and goes up in pitch, so if you project your voice more with an extra burst of energy, it’ll feel great to sing.
MY NAME ISsumika68rank/position

It’s included as the fourth track on the album “I co Y.” It features a warm band sound, but the up-tempo rhythm gets you grooving—a song that lifts your spirits.
The lyrics tell us that the hero is always within ourselves.
Shake & Shakesumika69rank/position

It’s an upbeat, crowd-pleasing song that’s fun to sing! Released on June 2, 2021 as a double A-side single, it includes Shake & Shake, the opening theme for the anime Pretty Boy Detective Club, and Night Walker.
The music video was reportedly sumika’s first attempt at a one-shot filming.
In the B-melody, cut the notes sharply, and in the chorus, aim for the higher pitches—rather than making a grimace, open your face and project a bright voice.
If you send your voice outward into the distance, it reduces any sense of strain and helps you keep your throat open!

This piece features a beautiful harmony of the soft sounds of electric piano and acoustic guitar.
It’s a ballad that sings of the frustration of being unable to convey feelings of love.
By likening those feelings to coffee, it conveys the poignant ache of swallowing one’s emotions toward the other person.
