I became someone else’s girlfriend.wacci1rank/position

This is a song that captures a woman’s complex feelings: while she speaks of her current partner’s kindness, she can’t help but recall the comfort of the days spent with her ex.
It’s a track released in August 2018 by the pop band wacci, known for crafting music that sits close to everyday life, and it’s also included on the album “Gunjou Refrain.” The lyrics, written by vocalist Yohei Hashiguchi based on a female friend’s story, contrast the perfection of a new partner with lingering feelings for an ex, tightening the listener’s chest.
In June 2021, it surpassed 100 million streams, cementing its status as a long‑loved classic.
After a springtime parting, when forcing yourself to look ahead leaves your heart tired, this song might gently stay by your side.
If you laugh at the skywacci2rank/position

Wacci is known for their warm, life-affirming music.
Released as a digital-only single in July 2018, this song was later included on the album “Gunjō Refrain” and serves as a cheer song.
Starting in August 2019, it was also selected as the first athlete support song within a Fuji TV program.
The lyrics carry a powerful message that affirms the very process of earnest effort and encourages looking forward regardless of the outcome.
Evoking the image of looking up at the sky and smiling precisely because you know the sting of frustration, the song gently supports students pouring their sweat into club activities, entrance exams, and other goals.
It’s a moving track perfect for moments when you want to unite at a school or cultural festival, or when you feel you might come to a brief stop.
It’s love, right?wacci3rank/position

I’ve been posting songs with the theme of “men with low voices,” and many of my students are “men with low voices” too! One of them has been practicing wacci’s “Koidaro.” In this song, the chorus jumps up in range to F#4, but the lowest note is a pretty low B2, which actually appears multiple times throughout.
How about first making sure you can firmly produce those easier low notes, and then try tackling the high notes with some momentum? Of course, it’s totally fine to start with falsetto instead of chest voice! If you keep singing, there will definitely be a point where it clicks, so I think it’s worth giving it a go even if it feels “a bit high.” Just don’t push yourself!
It’s okaywacci4rank/position

A warm, encouraging song that stands by you, who have thrown yourself wholeheartedly into your club activities every day.
Released as a single in August 2015, it was written as the theme song for the drama “37.5°C no Namida.” The down-to-earth words and melodies woven by vocalist Yohei Hashiguchi bring a sense of comfort to listeners.
Some of you may be feeling a bit anxious as you reach the major milestone of retirement and face the days ahead.
Listening to this song will help you recognize and appreciate the effort you’ve put in up to now.
Emotionwacci5rank/position

A heartwarming love song by wacci that delicately portrays the many emotions of romance.
It’s striking how everyday words like “good morning” and “good night,” exchanged in daily life, gradually take on a special meaning shared only by the two of them.
Included on the album “Kanjō Hyakkei,” it was released in August 2017.
The gentle melody and warm vocals together tenderly envelop the journey from the beginning of love to a deep bond.
It’s a song you’ll want to listen to when you and your partner, who sometimes clash, want to reflect on each other’s feelings.
By recalling how you felt at the very start of your relationship, it can be the spark you need to express yourself honestly.

This is a heartbreak song overflowing with poignancy, capturing the emotional turmoil of trying to sever lingering feelings for an ex.
Featured on wacci’s 2019 album Empathy, the track stands out for its lyrics written from a woman’s perspective.
Though she still has feelings, the protagonist’s struggle to choose a clean break in order to move forward is deeply affecting.
Positioned as a side story to “Betsu no Hito no Kanojo ni Natta yo,” a one-take recording was also released in 2020.
It’s a must-listen for anyone who’s gone from mutual love to one-sided, or who wants to move on but can’t quite bring themselves to do it.
I want to forget.wacci7rank/position

This is a song by wacci that poignantly sings of the pain of wanting to sever memories of an ex but being unable to.
Released in July 2024, it was produced as the third installment of a three-part love song project.
It portrays a protagonist who, even while spending time with someone new, suddenly sees traces of their former lover—and the more they try to forget, the more vividly the memories return, conveying a deep sense of heartache.
If you’re nursing the pain of a breakup, it will surely hit home.
