Composer Kujira, also known for producing yama’s smash hit “Haru wo Tsugeru,” is a musician widely supported especially by younger generations for sophisticated soundscapes and sentimental, emotional lyrics.

Starting Vocaloid producer activities in 2019, their stylish musicality quickly won many fans.

Since then, they have been actively providing songs to popular artists, including the aforementioned yama, as well as Ado, Kaf, Mei-chan, and DISH//.

A fleeting yet groovy number you’ll want to listen to on a spring night while watching cherry blossoms fall.

Written and composed by Kujira, active as a Vocaloid producer, the track features the singer Mei-chan.

Released as a single in June 2020, it was later included on the album “Nerenai Yoru ni Curtain wo Akete” (Open the Curtains on a Sleepless Night).

The lyrics overlay the image of scattering sakura with the end of a relationship, creating a world where beauty and a sense of loss coexist, tightening the chest.

The artwork by illustrator Mayu Yukishita is striking as well.

It’s sure to gently support teenagers trying to move forward beyond the season of partings.
