Rock Festival Calendar for August [2026]

Nanoboro is “Summer Borofesta,” an event held at the end of summer ahead of the main Borofesta in November. Centered around Kyoto’s livehouse nano, it takes the form of a circuit that moves through several nearby intimate spaces—such as □□□’s place and Kissama Madraug—and is characterized by bookings that primarily feature artists from the Kansai area. Though compact, it’s designed so you can enjoy touring the venues with the feel of a city stroll. In 2026, it will take place over two days, August 29 and 30.

“THE GREATEST ROCK FUKUOKA” is a new rock event to be held for the first time in Fukuoka in 2026. The organizers present it as “a day where timeless classics intersect with cutting‑edge sounds,” declaring that on this day, Fukuoka will become “the most rock city in Japan.” The venue is Fukuoka’s Mizuho PayPay Dome. Rock bands from Japan and abroad, including JOURNEY, NIGHT RANGER, and BAND-MAID, will gather for the event on August 29, 2026.
