Funny songs recommended for elementary school kids (11–20)
From Hunting to Rice Cultivation feat. Ashigaru-senseirekishi

Rekishi turns all kinds of history and historical figures into songs.
Their track “From Hunting to Rice Cultivation feat.
Ashigaru Sensei” is one of Rekishi’s signature numbers, famous at live shows for the audience waving rice stalks in the air.
The featured Ashigaru Sensei is Seiko Ito, also known as a pioneer of rap in Japan.
As the title suggests, the song—blending rap—depicts the transition from an era of hunting to one centered on rice cultivation.
The composition is excellent, and it’s sure to be enlightening—maybe even educational, too!
Lord Vegeta’s Cooking Hell!!Horikawa Ryou

Here’s a fun track by Ryo Horikawa, who’s also famous as the voice of Heiji Hattori in Detective Conan and Shun of Andromeda in Saint Seiya.
But above all, his most iconic role has to be Vegeta from Dragon Ball, right? The mysterious world narrated in Vegeta’s voice gets more entertaining the more you listen.
The lyrics, which feel like a mix of cooking and battling a rival, have a bright yet extraordinary vibe.
And don’t miss the parts where the lyrics parody Dragon Ball!
Just barely Showa-eraKyūso Nekokami

Showa is often used as a byword for “old,” but with terms like “Heisei retro” flying around lately, I bet many of you are feeling a chill down your spine (lol).
If you’re an elementary schooler, Showa must feel incredibly distant, and there’s probably more you don’t understand than you do—but how about getting a feel for it through Kyuso Nekokami’s song Giri Showa? It’s not just about Showa; the lyrics and tempo snap along with the era names, grabbing your heart, and the distinct Kyuso style rings out throughout the track.
It also made waves because the “Reiwa” part was recorded the moment the new era name was announced, and the music video was released immediately after.
Ebi KanicsKeroponzu

This is a signature song by Kero-chan and Pon-chan, the duo who handled the lyrics, composition, and choreography for children’s play songs.
Its upbeat tempo and easy-to-remember lyrics and dance are popular.
Although Ebikani Nics was released in 2007, it remains a beloved song even more than ten years later.
kawa-E (cute)Yabai T-shatsu Yasan

Yabai T-Shirts Yasan are a three-piece band known for their catchy, energizing songs.
Their track “Kawa E” is included on the 2018 album “Tank-top Festival in JAPAN,” and it was also used as the theme song for the film “Nisekoi,” starring Kento Nakajima and Ayami Nakajo in a double lead role.
The way the alphabet appears in the lyrics like a wordplay makes you think, “That’s clever!” The Kansai dialect is also great and really draws you in.
It’s a fun track that I highly recommend as a dance song, too.
The Tangerine SongSEX MACHINEGUNS

“Mikan no Uta” by SEX MACHINEGUNS is a heavy metal anthem that belts out an over-the-top love for mandarins.
Released in 1999 as a live recording, the song was created by vocalist Anchang, who hails from Ehime, as an ode to his hometown.
The lyrics passionately insist that Ehime-grown mandarins are simply amazing—even the peels are useful, they make the best juice, and it’s unthinkable to mock them! If you’ve got a friend who doesn’t like mandarins, sing them this song and, with a dose of humor, show them just how wonderful mikans can be!

Nihon no Mikata – I came because I’m from Nevada.Yajima Biyōshitsu

With an appearance reminiscent of a parody of the American soul group The Supremes, this song, “Nihon no Mikata – Nevada kara Kimashita,” is so funny it goes beyond mere parody.
Since it’s a project teaming up Tunnels with Kishidan’s Show Ayanocozey, it’s guaranteed to be hilarious! The lyrics packed with “funny foreigner clichés” and the easy-to-sing chorus are sure to appeal to elementary school kids of any generation.
It would be a blast to split the parts and sing it with close friends, too!
