Simple Magic Tricks You Can Do with Everyday Items (21–30)
Super Easy! Floating Magic

An ordinary disposable chopstick—if you let go, of course it will fall.
But by focusing your will, you can actually make the chopstick float! This magic works with a very simple trick that requires nothing but a chopstick.
Hold the chopstick in one hand, and with the other hand, grasp the wrist of the hand holding the chopstick—but here’s where the trick is hidden.
With the hand holding your wrist, you secretly support the chopstick with a finger.
That makes it look like the chopstick is floating!
A magic trick where the coin in your hand disappears

Making a coin disappear in your hand is a classic magic trick! It’s simple, yet truly astonishing.
Here are three ways to perform a vanishing coin trick.
To make the coin appear to vanish, you can hide it in your hand, flick it into your sleeve, or drop it onto your lap.
These tricks require technique and practice, but if you keep at it, you’ll succeed—so stick with it patiently.
It’s best to practice in front of a mirror or by recording yourself to make sure the coin isn’t visible to your audience.

Guess the chosen card! A prophecy magic trick

This is an easy magic trick using just three playing cards! The suits and numbers can be anything.
Lay three cards face up and have the spectator choose any one.
Then you say, “I predicted the card you would choose in advance!” and reveal a prediction slip.
The spectator will surely be amazed, thinking, “How did you know!?” But the secret is simple: you hide the prediction slip in a different location for each card.
For example, if this card is chosen, the prediction is on the back of the card case; if that card is chosen, it’s on the back of the selected card; if the other card is chosen, it’s inside the card case.
Prepare predictions for all possible cases ahead of time! Odds are the method will be figured out quickly after the first performance, so show it briskly and put it away right after (lol)! By the way, it doesn’t have to be actual playing cards—you can also use homemade cards with the suit and number written on the back of printed slips.
Popcorn Appearance Magic

A magic trick that’s sure to delight everyone: making popcorn appear.
In this trick, corn kernels in a paper cup transform into popcorn.
The secret is actually quite simple.
First, prepare a regular paper cup and fill it with popcorn up to about 70%.
Next, pour in corn kernels until they completely cover the popcorn.
Then just shake the cup—the kernels fall into the gaps, revealing the popcorn.
Shortening little finger

You often see the thumb-stretching magic trick, but you don’t see the pinky-shortening trick very often! Like the thumb trick, this one has a gag-like element, but if you perform it well, it can be surprisingly impressive.
The method is simple: while pinching the left pinky with the right thumb and index finger, bend the left pinky at the base joint and the second joint.
At the same time, use your right hand to conceal the area around the left pinky.
If you can make the tip of the pinky move straight up and down without shifting forward or backward, it will look much more natural, as if the finger actually got shorter!
Rope escape magic

An amazing rope escape trick using two cords! First, have someone tie both your wrists with one cord like handcuffs.
Then place a second cord at a right angle over the first one, and have the spectator hold both ends.
Finally, cover the tied area with a handkerchief and fidget a bit…
and—amazingly—the second cord slips off while the first cord stays tied! You often see this trick on TV, but there’s actually a method to escape, and anyone can do it once they learn the steps.
That said, it looks impossible at first glance, so if you pull it off, you’re guaranteed to wow your audience!
Magic of eating a balloon

It’s a very visually striking magic trick where you take one of those long, thin balloons used in street performances and appear to munch it from the end, feeding it into your mouth.
The secret is simple: before you start, poke a small hole with a needle near the balloon’s opening where you’d inflate it, and release the air from there.
The one crucial point is to make the hole on the side closer to the mouth of the balloon than the knot.
Then just feed the balloon into your mouth from the end; when the balloon is inside, press it firmly with your tongue and the air will escape through the hole.
Inside your mouth, compact the balloon and hide it under your tongue.
