Simple magic using the body (11–20)
Pencil & Eraser: Vanishing Magic
A magic trick that will probably fill the audience’s heads with question marks: you pretend that tapping the eraser in your hand with a pencil will make the eraser vanish—but instead the pencil disappears, and then the eraser vanishes too.
The secret is very simple: while you make the motion of tapping with the pencil, you hide the raised pencil in your collar.
While you’re pointing out that the “vanished” pencil is actually in your collar, you secretly slip the eraser into your pocket.
It’s a trick that requires a bit of finesse in presentation.
Magic where candy appears from a cup
Wouldn’t it be exciting if you could cast a spell on an empty cup and have lots of candy appear? This is just that kind of dreamlike magic… or so I’d like to say, but in fact there’s a setup prepared beforehand.
You’ll need two clear plastic cups, one sheet of origami paper, and lots of candy.
First, cut off the rim of one of the plastic cups and fill that cup with candy.
Next, place the candy-filled cup inside the uncut cup, and set the origami paper between them to act as a cover.
Once you’re ready, it’s time to perform! Begin by lifting the origami paper together with the candy-filled inner cup to show that there’s nothing inside the uncut plastic cup.
Then, when you cover it with the origami paper, slip the candy-filled cup back into the uncut cup—that’s all there is to it.
It requires no difficult techniques, yet the sudden appearance of a bunch of candy is sure to get everyone excited!
Human Body and Levitation Magic
This is a levitation magic trick where a body hidden under a cloth seems to float when a spell is cast.
Have the person who will “float” lie on their back on a platform or similar surface, then cover them with a cloth that completely hides their body.
While being covered, the person inside turns from lying on their back to lying face down.
Then, in a push-up-like position, they should make small movements to appear as if they are gradually floating.
Be sure to keep one leg straight, too!

It’s a magic trick where a mouse made from a handkerchief moves as if it’s alive.
You simply move the finger hidden under the handkerchief mouse to make it look convincing.
The mechanism is simple, but it still makes you jump.
The fact that you can make a mouse out of a handkerchief at all feels a bit mysterious.
Finger Severing Magic
This is a magic trick where you grab your thumb with the other hand, making it look like it’s been cut and is moving separately.
In reality, you’re just bending the thumb of the other hand to make it look like the thumb you’re holding.
It’s a very simple trick, so it’s especially recommended for beginners.
