It happens in an instant, and no matter how many times you see it, it feels mysterious—but it’s actually a very simple trick and well worth remembering! The simple method is: while pretending to take the ring off, you hide the finger that actually has the ring and show a different finger instead.

You fold the index finger and show the middle finger in its place, and at the moment you pretend to throw the ring, you just switch the fingers back.
