Team-based game ideas (31–40) to liven up a party

Minority wins! The Minority Game

[Easy Icebreaker] The minority wins!? The Minority King Showdown!
Minority wins! The Minority Game

This is a game where the people who choose the minority—the less popular answer—win.

First, split into groups and set a prompt and two choices.

Since there are only two options, pick one based on your own thinking.

After choosing, hold a debate—i.e., a discussion—within your group about the prompt.

After the discussion, think again about which option to choose as your answer, then everyone reveals their choice at the same time.

If you picked the minority answer at that moment, you win; if you picked the majority answer, you lose.

Makeup showdown

Makeup showdown

Let’s do a contest where we give men a full, beautiful makeup! Have women handle the makeup, glam up men who don’t usually wear it, and then showcase the results for everyone to score.

You could also have people vote on who looks the best or the coolest.

Choosing men who seem like they would suit makeup might be a key to success, too.

No-English game

I can’t concentrate at all because English-prohibited bowling is way too funny lol
No-English game

I also recommend the “no-English” game that you can start right away.

The rule is simple: as long as you don’t speak any English, you’re fine.

It sounds easy at first, but you’d be surprised how often it slips out.

Words like “game” and “OK,” which we use in everyday life, tend to pop up.

You can deepen your bond by playing this while doing something else or enjoying a conversation.

Have fun while keeping an eye on each other to make sure no one uses English.

Caricature Quiz

Travis Japan [Portrait Quiz] Incomprehensible… Which one is my portrait?!
Caricature Quiz

This is a game where team members draw caricatures of each other, and then everyone tries to find the one that depicts themselves from the completed set.

A key point is that each caricature must be drawn in one minute, which tests not only drawing skill but also the ability to observe and capture distinctive features.

Because time is limited, the drawings inevitably become rough sketches, which might lead to a uniquely quirky visual world.

Of course, making an easy-to-understand caricature matters, but so does the ability to interpret who each drawing represents—making it an activity that tests team bonds.

Let's become friends through a communication game!

To get to know others, communication is essential! In this game, you talk a lot while discovering unexpected sides of each other—welcome to the “Unexpected Me! Game.” Find people who match the surprising prompts written on paper, and whoever finds the most wins.

Prompts like “Surprisingly, I like ___” or “Surprisingly, I can ___” are all fair game.

You won’t rack up points unless you talk to many people, so keep the conversations going and learn more about those around you!

Don’t Overlap Game

[Insanely Hard] We did a “Don’t Overlap” challenge with three couples… and the result was shocking…
Don't Overlap Game

I also recommend the “Don’t Overlap!” game, which requires teamwork.

In this game, multiple people answer a single prompt, and if any answers overlap, you fail.

For example, if the prompt is “Characters from the Sazae-san family,” you’d fail if multiple people answer “Katsuo.” On the other hand, if everyone gives different names like “Katsuo,” “Sazae,” and “Wakame,” you succeed.

Just make sure your answers still fit the prompt—keep that in mind as you play.

Team Bingo Competition

Team Bingo Competition

Bingo is a classic activity and performance that everyone from children to adults can enjoy.

Let’s try playing that bingo game as a team competition! For example, you could decide the winner by the number of people who get bingo: if three members of a team get bingo, that team wins.

And of course, prepare some luxurious prizes for the winning team!
