3D craft ideas using drawing paper and colored construction paper (1–10)
ball

Here’s an idea for making a ball out of paper.
First, prepare six strips of paper, each 1 cm by 20 cm.
Connect one of the strips into a loop.
Next, layer the remaining five strips one by one to form a star shape.
If you overlap them so that the center forms a pentagon, you’ll get a neat star.
Once layered, temporarily clip the ends of the strips upright, then pass the loop you made earlier through them.
At this point, only thread the strips that were on the bottom during the layering.
Swap the top and bottom positions of the overlapped strips, connect strips of the same color, and you’re done!
butterfly

Here’s a fun idea for making butterflies—the more you make, the more enjoyable it gets.
First, prepare two pieces of paper: one measuring 2 cm × 7 cm and another measuring 6 cm × 10 cm.
Cut out the parts from each and combine them to create a three-dimensional butterfly.
Once the butterfly’s shape is complete, attach antennae made from wire to finish.
You can make a colorful array of butterflies inspired by spring, or choose color schemes that resemble real butterflies.
jellyfish

Here’s a jellyfish craft idea that’s soothing just to look at.
Arrange paper strips in a radial pattern and glue them down.
Make a ring using another strip, then glue the ends of each radial strip one by one to the ring.
Next, prepare a rectangular piece of paper and use a craft knife to cut the lower two-thirds into thin fringe, then roll it into a tube and glue it.
Wrap the fringed section around a toothpick to curl it.
Finally, connect the two parts with a piece of thread.
Adding beads to the thread will make it even cuter.
Star ornament

Here’s an idea for a star ornament you can use for Christmas and more.
Take a square sheet of construction paper, fold it in half to make a crease—do this step twice—then fold it four more times and cut with scissors to form a pentagon.
Open the paper and make slits; fold it again and cut along the slits to quickly transform it into a star shape.
Alternate mountain and valley folds along the creases to create a three-dimensional star ornament.
Add a loop to hang it, and it’s perfect not only for a tree ornament but also as a wall decoration!
Heart paper fan

Here’s an idea for heart-shaped paper fans that will give your room a cute vibe.
First, a quick note: a paper fan is a decoration made by combining accordion-folded paper.
This time, we’ll fold a rectangular sheet into an accordion, then bend it into a V-shape to create a heart.
Once it’s done, try decorating by sticking it on the wall and so on.
By the way, having a clip on hand makes it easy to secure the V-shape.
The fact that you don’t need scissors or glue is another great feature of this idea.
Flower

Why not make realistic flowers and enjoy the seasonal atmosphere? In this idea, you combine folded or cut pieces to create lifelike blooms.
First decide which flower you want to make, then look for helpful websites or videos for reference.
Most flowers can be recreated, so feel free to choose whatever you like.
You can also make multiple stems and arrange them like a bouquet for extra fun.
Another appealing aspect of this idea is that you can show your individuality—such as by choosing color combinations that don’t exist in real life.
animal hat

Why not make a cute animal hat out of construction paper? With a bit of creativity, you can make a rabbit, panda, elephant, and more.
First, attach two sheets of construction paper horizontally and fold them in half.
Then fold it twice vertically and into thirds horizontally, and unfold.
You should have creases forming 8 columns across and 3 rows down.
Cut off the leftmost column to make it 7 columns wide.
Fold the paper back up and cut the top two-thirds into an arch shape.
Open the paper and attach a pair of rubber bands linked together at both ends.
Gather the arched section and staple it in place, then add the animal’s face and ear parts to finish!
