SUSSYNCYU’s iconic and popular songs

Introducing songs by Su-xing-cyu, the self-proclaimed “Japan’s most tear-jerking comic band.” While their humor shines through not only in their songs but also in their live performances and even their CD titles, they also have tracks that are emotional and hit you right in the heart.

They’re not just goofing around—listen to their music that truly grabs us fans by the heart.

This track is the third song on their fifth full-length album, “Shusshesaku” (Breakthrough Work).

It embodies that quintessential Yonseikyu comic band vibe! Just listening to it puts you in a good mood—that’s their charm! Also keep an eye out for the alien from past works appearing in the music video!

LAUGH LAUGH LAUGHyonseikyu

The music video is set at a wedding, which fits the song perfectly.

Its straightforward lyrics and simple melody are moving.

The lyrics also mention three kinds of LAUGH.

It’s a touching track that’s very much like Su-Xing-Cyu, focusing not only on love but also on LAUGH—smiles.

Your backyonseikyu

When it comes to rock stars from Tokushima, it has to be Su-Xing-Cyu (Shikoku no Hoshikuzu)! Even after their major-label debut, they’ve remained based in Tokushima Prefecture and are known for developing music activities rooted in their hometown.

Briefs and happi coats, cardboard crafts and comic songs—their musical style is full of quirks that invite plenty of playful critique.

Yet their love for Tokushima, and the love they receive from Tokushima, are on another level.

From Shikoku-wide tours to solo shows at halls in Tokushima, their activities as a rock band representing Shikoku are nothing short of impressive.

SUSSYNCHU's classic and popular songs (11–20)

Paint Painyonseikyu

It’s a ballad whose simple, easy-to-follow chord progression and gently spoken lyrics really sink into the heart.

Just like the lyrics say, it’s a pep song that seems to paint over the pain, and its straightforward structure makes it resonate deeply.

The youthful earnestness that’s Four Star Ball’s signature is in full bloom, and I couldn’t help but be reminded of my school days.

Mr. Cosmoyonseikyu

It’s an upbeat tune that plays on the double meaning of “cosmo” (the universe) and “cosmos” (the flower).

It’s a song by Su-Xing-Cyu, a comic band based in Tokushima Prefecture.

The track is included on their sixth album, “Major Debut as a Gag,” released in 2017.

It’s a great recommendation when you want to hype up a karaoke session.

This song cheerfully sings about charming things women can relate to.

The lyrics evoke nostalgia, bringing back memories of school days.

On top of that, the track is brimming with a youthful, slightly naive vibe that conveys the feeling of adolescence, making it a song that truly resonates with the heart.

RIVER when you don’t have timeyonseikyu

RIVER when you don't have timeyonseikyu

It’s a cover of 10-FEET’s classic song “RIVER,” and it’s definitely a piece where I’d love for you to watch the music video.

I think seeing it will show you just how seriously the band Su-xing-cyu (Shikoku Four Star Ball) messes around—in the best way.
