It’s Scatman John’s debut single and his signature song.

Its standout feature is the inimitable scat, which cleverly turns his stutter—a major source of stress for him—into a strength.

The lyrics outside the scat also carry a message for people struggling with similar issues.

Alongside the coolness of scat that makes you want to try it yourself, the track conveys a powerful sense that he is determined to keep moving forward.

27CLUB feat. LEXkZm

kZm – 27CLUB feat. LEX (Prod. SIL V3 R 100 & Chaki Zulu)
27CLUB feat. LEXkZm

Former kiLLa member and current YENTOWN member kZm is known for his hardcore style, and the dark world he creates consistently draws attention in the scene.

Here’s “27CLUB feat.

LEX,” a collaboration between kZm and LEX, one of the most talked-about rappers in today’s hip-hop scene.

kZm’s verse is pretty fast, but LEX’s rapid-fire verse is especially impressive—definitely give it a listen.

FIRE feat. ZeebraDEXPISTOLS

Zeebra, the king of the hip-hop scene.

He competed in the 2022 MC battle tournament BATTLE SUMMIT, and with freestyle skills that showed no signs of fading, he once again earned massive props.

The track where you can savor his rapid-fire rap is FIRE feat.

Zeebra.

It’s a collaboration with the electro unit DEXPISTOLS, and its flow, which carries an old-school vibe, is striking.

Compared to today’s rap it isn’t extremely fast, but it’s a must-listen if you want to see a new side of Zeebra.

I’m in ChargeTOKONA-X

TOKONA-X, the legendary rapper who represents Nagoya.

He passed away at the young age of 26, but the classic tracks and stories he left behind are still talked about today.

In the early 2000s, many Japanese rappers favored a mainstream style of laid-back flows with straightforward rhymes.

In contrast, TOKONA-X showcased double-time rapping on certain tracks.

Among his works, the one I especially recommend is “I’m in Charge.” With its insanely fiery vibes, a flow considered difficult even by today’s standards, and impeccably crafted rhymes, it’s not just about the speed—across the board, this might well be one of the best entries in Japanese hip-hop.

What? (feat. C.O.S.A.)¥ellow bucks

Yellow Bucks, also known for winning an audition show, teamed up with rapper C.O.S.A.

on the track “What? (feat.

C.O.S.A.).” It’s a fiery song where the two rap about their way of life and their principles.

The high-speed flow alone is thrilling, and the energy keeps rising.

It’s also compelling how they trade the mic in fine-grained relays within the flow and keep time with a distinctive sense of tempo.

I like rap.LITTLE

Little, a member of KICK THE CAN CREW.

Because the crew has many catchy tracks, it can be hard to notice, but Little possesses a high level of skill even within Japan’s hip-hop scene.

A track where you can savor his rapid-fire rapping is “I Love RAP.” It balances a unique flow with fast rap, and in parts of the verse you can hear a flow reminiscent of Shibito.

The punchlines are powerful too, so be sure to check the lyrics.

It’s especially recommended for fans of high-speed music and for singers looking to challenge their expressive range.
