Primarily active in Tokyo, I have experience as a backup dancer for artists, a music video dancer, and a commercial dancer. I continue to work as a dancer while also engaging in article production. After discovering Michael Jackson in junior high school, I began dancing in my second year of high school. Since starting dance, in addition to the J-Pop and Japanese rock I had been listening to, I began exploring Western R&B, rap, alternative music, and other tracks commonly used for dance. In elementary school, I spent three years in a choir, and because I love singing, I often go to karaoke for fun. These days, I enjoy a wide range of music, from Japanese rock and rap to K-pop.

I’ve worked in a variety of roles—regardless of pro or amateur settings—including live event PA, cameraman for video and photography, restaurant staff, and logistics center staff. I now spend my days as a part-time writer. I’ve contributed to music and manga websites with feature/review articles, and wrote the liner notes included as a bonus for 1st PLACE Inc.’s “IA SUPER BEST.” As for my music background, I started playing guitar in junior high and focused on band activities during my school years. For over 15 years since then, up to the present, I’ve continued releasing original tracks as a Vocaloid producer. My areas of expertise are Japanese rock, Vocaloid, and manga.

This time, I’m going to introduce some Vocaloid dance tunes!

In many MVs, you’ll see Vocaloid characters dancing, and there are even dances like wotagei.

These days, there are even dance battles held to Vocaloid tracks, and Vocaloid is treated as dance music.

I’ll be showcasing a bunch of Vocaloid songs that let you ride the beat and enjoy dancing!

Depending on the song, there may be official choreography, and many tracks have original routines with “Odotte Mita” (I tried dancing) posts—so be sure to check them out and give it a try!

It’s a solid, full-fledged EDM track that sounds like it could be played at overseas music festivals as-is.

The song is by the Vocaloid producer Osanzi—also known for “LiFE” and “Dance With Me”—and was released in March 2023.

It was an entry for BOCALOID Collection (Bokakore) Spring 2023.

The thumping, booming low end feels incredibly satisfying.

Another highlight is the oriental section that incorporates the timbres of traditional Japanese instruments.

Miku and Rin’s crisp vocal work also fits the style perfectly.

With its message of “Just go your own way,” this is an uplifting Vocaloid track that gives you courage and boosts your energy.

Hatsune Miku’s light, airy vocals and the catchy melody draw listeners in from the very first bars.

Released in March 2025, the song was selected as the theme for the “Super Odottemita Off” event within Niconico Chokaigi 2025.

“XXX,” produced by Vocaloid creator Merokuru, was released in June 2024.

Aiming for the kind of track sung by MAVE:, the virtual girls’ group from Korea, it indeed carries K-pop-style elements in its melodic construction.

If you change the settings on YouTube, you can also watch the English version—highly recommended if you’re curious.

The heavy beat is perfect for dancing and makes you want to move.

Still… I’m truly impressed by the breadth of Merokuru’s musical range.

This is a track packed with the desire to create something you can really vibe to.

Composed by Nor, it was released in September 2024.

Sung by Kasane Teto, the song expresses complex emotions in a straightforward way.

Its Future Bass-driven sound grabs your heart and won’t let go.

Akita Horie’s bass is also striking.

The vocal phrase repeated in the chorus brilliantly captures the conflict between love and hate.

If you’re looking for authentic EDM, definitely check this out.

It’s a track by TIME, a Vocaloid producer who’s also active as a DJ, released in 2017.

It was used as the background music on the special page for the “Cho Party 2017 VOCALOID Live,” so some of you might have discovered it there.

The sound arrangement is richly layered yet ethereal—utterly irresistible.

The sense of release in the chorus is fantastic, too.

It’s a short piece at just under three minutes, but the satisfaction you feel after listening is off the charts.
