Feast of NonsensePinokio P

From the intro to the very end, every slice of it is captivating—a Vocaloid track through and through.
Created by multi-creator PinocchioP, who also handles the illustrations and video, it was released in 2015.
The song brims with humor, using interactions at an izakaya as its theme.
Yet as you follow the lyrics, it carries a depth that makes you ponder, “What is life, anyway?” The stylish electronic sound built around the bass drum’s rhythm is also seriously cool.
It’s a masterpiece that rewards both careful listening and lyrical analysis.
Rigged Dancemafumafu

It’s a nu-metal/mixture rock track whose lyrics carry a philosophical message: one person’s right answer is another person’s wrong one.
The song, released in 2020, is by Mafumafu, who is also active as a professional singer.
It’s incredibly rhythmic and really gets you moving as you listen.
Kagamine Rin and Len’s straightforward vocals match the tone perfectly.
There’s also a self-cover video where Mafumafu sings it himself, which I highly recommend checking out as well.
Honestly, it makes me want to sing it too.
Captive to freedom.Kanzaki Iori

Even when someone says, “You’re free to do whatever you want,” you end up hesitating to try something new, don’t you? This is an emotional Vocaloid song that cries out and sings the moratorium we carry as we go through life.
Created by Kanzaki Iori and released in 2018, its driving piano rock sound tears at your emotions.
The allure of Kanzaki Iori’s music lies above all in the profound messages of the lyrics—you can’t help but listen and see yourself reflected in them.
SoliloquyMARETU

A unique number where sharp band sounds and chiptune-like phrases intertwine exquisitely.
It’s a work by MARETU, also known as the author of “Coin Locker Baby,” released in 2016.
It serves as the theme song for Luciano, a character from the game “#Compass: Combat Providence Analysis System.” The philosophical word choices in the lyrics are quintessentially MARETU, and they match perfectly with the dark, cool tone of the track.
The rhythm shift from the increasingly intense B-melody into the chorus is so surprising—it’s absolutely irresistible.
Waiting for the clearingOrangestar

A work by the Vocaloid producer Orangestar, who also operates under the name Mikansei-P and resumed activities in 2020 after about a two-year hiatus.
The song is included in the mobile game “Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage!” (Project SEKAI), and its refreshing tone—opening with transparent guitar arpeggios and piano timbres—draws listeners into its world.
The drum and bass arrangements that create a sense of speed and dynamism further enhance its catchiness, making it such an easy-to-listen number that you might forget it’s a Vocaloid track.
Responsible Collectivemasarada

Created by Vocaloid producer Masarada, this work was released in May 2024.
Its sound arrangement, infused with the essence of funk music, pairs beautifully with Kasane Teto’s distinctive vocals.
The lyrics, laced with satire about modern society, invite listeners to think.
The visuals, also crafted by Masarada, are excellent, showcasing talent in both music and imagery.
It’s a highly addictive track, recommended for when you want to reflect deeply on society.
88☆彡Marashii × Horie Shota (kemu)

This is a collaborative piece by pianist Marasy and Vocaloid producer kemu (Shota Horie)! It was written for the mobile game “Project SEKAI COLORFUL STAGE! feat.
Hatsune Miku” and released in 2022.
As you can tell at first listen, the sense of speed and freshness is fantastic! It has that uplifting charm that clears your head and blows away all the gloom.
Let’s listen to this positive track and boost our spirits!
