End-World NormopathyGHOST

An aggressive, cool electronic number that hits you like a wall of sound.

It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to call GHOST a representative figure among overseas Vocaloid producers; this track by GHOST was released in March 2023.

It’s one of the songs in the Qualia Automata series by the creator unit Team 6×111, which GHOST belongs to, and it’s connected to the story of Reckless Battery Burns.

Be sure to listen to them together!

Yamaokaya Comes Out of My Faucet / Kasane Teto SV [Ganbare Masashige]
Yamaoka-ya comes out of the tap at my place.Ganbare Masashige

A track by Ganbare Masashige, released in January 2025.

After its debut, it rapidly became a hit thanks to its addictive quality.

Packed with love for the ramen chain Yamaokaya, its humorous worldbuilding is irresistibly catchy.

The breezy rap by Kasane Teto is also fantastic—you’ll find yourself nodding along.

If you enjoyed this piece, be sure to dig into the Vocaloid hip-hop scene!

ghostGuiano

One song drawing attention for its unique composition is “ghost.” Produced by Guiano, it likens a protagonist grieving the loss of a loved one to a ghost.

With sound effects evocative of ghosts sampled throughout, it builds a one-of-a-kind sonic world.

Its most distinctive feature is that the vocals are performed by the musical voicebank Urano and by Guiano himself.

The more you listen, the more you discover—it’s a highly creative work.

Hard Luck of the Crunchy AngelSTEAKA

A cute yet hardcore electric number with sharp, driving synths.

It’s a track by the Vocaloid producer STEAKA—also known for “Doping Dance” and “Twitterland”—released in August 2023.

The voice library used is “Decentralized Autonomous Golem Rimuru.” I love how the momentum builds as the song progresses—it makes you want to crank the volume.

The lyrics also have an exceptionally satisfying flow.

Add it to your playlist for when you want to boost your mood!

Memorykyiku

Memory/Unavailable - Nurse Robo_Type T - Star Realm
Memorykyiku

Kyiku, who has created many songs that portray hazy feelings and a tumultuous inner world, has delivered something unprecedented with his new release, “Memory.” The sound design samples a telephone ring and water, crafting a dreamlike atmosphere.

Meanwhile, the lyrics vividly depict a heart sinking into darkness.

One of the song’s appeals is that it invites multiple interpretations, so listen with your own analysis in mind.

The intentional cuts in the audio partway through are also an interesting touch.

r-906 – Strange Phone Call (ft. ROSE & POPY)

I also recommend “Kaidensya (The Strange Phone Call),” which pulls you into a bizarre tale.

This track was created by r-906 for the Vocalo Collection Spring 2022 TOP100 ranking.

It opens with a sound woven from electronic tones and depicts the protagonist calling out to the person on the other end of the line.

You could read this as a metaphor for trying to build human relationships.

And at the end, an utterly unexpected twist awaits.

Be sure to listen yourself and find out.

Also, keep an eye out for a fun Easter egg: if you add up the numbers that appear in the song, they total 906.

Wanderlustsasakure.UK

The Wanderlust feat. Luka Megurine
Wanderlustsasakure.UK

This song is by sasakure.UK, one of the leading Vocaloid producers who has continued to be active at the forefront of the Vocaloid scene and has also worked on pieces like “Tondemo Wonders” and “Future Eve.” It was released in February 2009.

The work is characterized by its unpredictable song structure and avant-garde sound that incorporates chiptune.

Even back then, it already had that distinct “sasakure.UK sound,” which is great.

Even now, long after its release, it still feels “new.” A remake version was uploaded in 2019, so if you haven’t heard it yet, definitely check it out!
