I’ve worked in a variety of roles—regardless of pro or amateur settings—including live event PA, cameraman for video and photography, restaurant staff, and logistics center staff. I now spend my days as a part-time writer. “What Will the Future Be Like,” produced in 2023 by Vocaloid producer Mitchie M—who has created numerous tracks for video games and commercials—is a song themed around past entries in the Pokémon series, incorporating sounds that sample in-game BGM and sound effects.

It portrays a forward-looking spirit moving toward the future, matching the game’s journey of continuing to travel while meeting many monsters.

This warm, electronica track conveys the friendships between the many Pokémon and their trainers as they appear one after another.

The song Gibyurita, produced by Vell, has lyrics whose line endings become surprisingly addictive.

Its repeating melody is highly catchy, so once you hear it, it’s sure to stick in your head.

The lyrics depict a protagonist who can get anything they want with money and does whatever they please.

They also quickly lose interest when things don’t go their way.

Yet there’s an air of something unresolved within them, making you want to dig a little deeper into what this protagonist is really thinking.

It’s a highly sophisticated piece that gives the impression of “refined music.” The track is by r-906, a well-known Vocaloid producer famous for the hit “Manimani,” and it was released in March 2023.

It was submitted to VocaColle Spring 2023 and ranked 6th in the TOP 100.

The drum’n’bass sound with a pared-down palette of tones is almost too stylish.

It’s crafted so well your body starts keeping time on its own.

It really reaffirms how well slapped bass pairs with a four-on-the-floor beat.

The vocal work, tuned to make the Japanese lyrics sound like English, is also outstanding.
