Western songs used in commercials – tear-jerking masterpieces and popular tracks (31–40)
CLAIRGilbert O`Sullivan

A hit number by Irish singer-songwriter Gilbert O’Sullivan.
It was used as a commercial song for Toyota’s “Vista.” The song is an affectionate piece about an uncle and his young niece.
The real Claire is the young daughter of O’Sullivan’s producer-manager, and you can hear the little girl’s giggle at the end of the track.
It’s a very heartwarming number that will put you in a happy mood.
Have You Ever Seen The RainCreedence Clearwater Revival

Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR)’s Japanese song title “Have You Ever Seen the Rain?” was used in a Nissan Serena commercial.
It’s certainly such a great song that you’d want to use it in a commercial, but the “rain” in the title doesn’t refer to weather; it was inspired by the sight of bombs falling from airplanes like rain during the Vietnam War.
I’ve heard there was a time in the U.S.
when the song was actually banned from being broadcast.
Knowing that background makes you want to cry in a different way.
WomanJohn Lennon

A famous number by John Lennon.
It’s the song used in the Mitsubishi eK Wagon commercial, included on the 1980 album Double Fantasy and released as a single.
After John Lennon passed away, this track was issued as a single posthumously.
Thinking about that history brings Lennon and Beatles fans to tears.
BelieveLenny Kravitz

A track from Lenny Kravitz’s 1993 album “Are You Gonna Go My Way.” It was used in a Nissan “Largo” TV commercial.
The music video is also famous as an homage to “2001: A Space Odyssey.” As a song, it’s a full-on showcase of Kravitz’s signature style in a ballad form, with a guitar solo that really tugs at the heartstrings.
Don’t Look Back In AngerOasis

A song released by Oasis on their 1995 album (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?.
It was issued as a single in 1996 and became Oasis’s second song to reach No.
1 on the UK Singles Chart.
Written, composed, and sung lead by Noel Gallagher (the older brother).
It was used in an au commercial.
A masterpiece often referred to as the British national anthem.
Noel’s vocals, more than Liam’s, feel more heartrending and move me to tears!
