Even if they were easy back then, you may find them difficult now.

I had especially forgotten the last two questions.

This geography quiz helps you unearth knowledge that’s been pushed to the corners of your memory.

If you’re a parent with a child about to enter junior high school, this could be a good chance to study again.

This is a quiz where you read ateji (phonetic renderings) from around the world.

It features a wide range, from familiar country names and famous place names to entries that make you wonder how on earth they’re read that way.

Some may find it difficult, but you can often figure them out through guesses and imagery, so even those without prior knowledge can enjoy it.

There are some quite challenging questions, so simply being able to read them is something to brag about.

It’s a quiz that lets you experience the fun of ateji and the pleasure of gaining new knowledge.

It’s easygoing and great for killing time.

Prefecture Shape Quiz

Prefecture Shape Quiz

Those “guess the prefecture by its shape” questions often seen on elementary and junior high school tests.

If it’s the prefecture you live in, you can probably answer easily, but it suddenly gets hard when it’s another prefecture.

It’s simple if it’s been featured on TV and such, but it’s tough to recognize the shapes of less familiar prefectures.

So you could say it’s quite a challenging quiz.

It’s not particularly useful to know, but being able to answer makes for good bragging rights.

By the way, how you hold the prefecture is up to you.

Guess the prefecture names on the map of Japan quiz

We’re presenting questions about Japan’s prefectures from north to south.

Even for people living in Japan, there may not be many who have memorized the location of every single prefecture.

If you live in eastern Japan and can answer all the questions about western Japan—or vice versa—that’s impressive.

It’s a nice way to think about prefectures you don’t often visit, so why not try it as an entry point into geography quizzes? Even if you think it’s easy, there might be some prefectures that don’t come to mind as quickly as you expect.

World Climate Zones Quiz

[7th Grade Geography] What Climate Is It? [World Climate Classification Quiz]
World Climate Zones Quiz

You remember learning Köppen climate classification in high school, right? I used to get excited about how climates were subdivided in detail by things like tree height and grasses.

Here, though, I’ll introduce a game that’s not so technical and simply fun.

Broadly, climates can be divided into five zones: polar, subarctic (cold), temperate, arid (dry), and tropical.

The game works like this: the quizmaster says the name of a country, and the players answer which climate zone it belongs to.

For example, to “What about Saudi Arabia?” you’d answer, “It belongs to the arid zone.” It could be fun to play this as a team competition in class.

If you’re going to study, you might as well enjoy it! It could also be great to spread out a world map and play while everyone checks where each country is.

Use your knowledge to determine your current location!

Use your knowledge to determine your current location!

A quiz recommended for people who love geography or want to overcome their weak points is “Pinpoint Your Location Using Only Your Knowledge!” It’s a game where you guess where you are based on street-level photos from a random spot on Google Maps.

You can predict the country by looking at the language on nearby signs, or whether cars drive on the right or the left—those alone are big clues.

Try squeezing every bit of knowledge you have to figure it out.

It’s great solo, but it also gets lively when you play with a group.

[Piece of cake] Theory that a quiz king would finish “Kaere-ma 10” instantly and go home
Among UN member states, which are the top 10 countries with the highest population density?

When you hear “UN member states,” do specific countries pop into your head right away? Some of you might stumble there, but this time it’s a quiz to guess the top 10 UN member countries with the highest population density.

Should you think of small countries, or countries with large populations—or even whether they’re UN members in the first place? There’s a lot to consider, which makes it fun.

Use this quiz to become more knowledgeable.

If you’re a student, it might even help with tests or entrance exams, so it’s definitely worth remembering.
