One Eyed BastardGreen Day

A fierce punk rock number that kicks off with a heavy guitar riff reminiscent of Black Sabbath has arrived from America’s Green Day.

Featured on the album Saviors, this track shines a light on life’s darker side and revels in the thrill of revenge.

Rapid-fire drum beats and a groovy bass line create a tense, immersive atmosphere.

Released in January 2024, Saviors reunites the band with producer Rob Cavallo, who helped propel them to success on Dookie and American Idiot.

Packed with memorable “ayy-oh!” calls and addictive phrases, it’s guaranteed to ignite live crowds.

It’s also a perfect song to boost motivation during training or workouts.

One FootGreentea Peng

The distinctive British singer-songwriter Greentea Peng is set to release a new single in November 2024: a hypnotic track grounded in neo-soul while incorporating alternative rock and psychedelic elements.

The lyrics, centered on self-exploration and the essence of humanity, symbolically portray the push-and-pull of progress and setback, as well as the lessons learned in overcoming difficult circumstances, reflecting a deeply introspective perspective.

Included on her second album, “Tell Dem It’s Sunny,” slated for release in March 2025, the song captures her musical evolution and profound journey of self-discovery.

Its soulful melodies and introspective lyrics serve as a reminder of the importance of cherishing each step we take every day.

HERIOT, the UK metalcore band currently drawing attention across Europe, have unveiled a standout track that opens up new musical horizons for them.

Known for their heavy sound that fuses metalcore with industrial elements, this release marks their first song centered on clean vocals.

The track explores the necessity of confronting truth in solitude, highlighted by Debbie Gough’s haunting, ethereal performance.

Featured on their debut album, “Devoured By The Mouth Of Hell,” released on September 27, 2024, this song is a key piece that broadens their musical range.

With dark, weighty guitar riffs and introspective lyrics, it’s a number that resonates deeply.

Brazilian music is fairly popular in Japan.

However, much of it tends to be bossa nova or run-of-the-mill Brazilian pop.

Aren’t there some people who want to listen to deeper, more niche works? For those listeners, I recommend ORISHAS.

It’s a distinctive release featuring tracks that blend elements of drill music with tango.

The album brims with a curious charm, juxtaposing heavy sonics with light, stylish vocals.

It’s extremely obscure in Japan, but do give it a listen.

Out for the GloryHelloween

The opening track of the album “Helloween,” the first to be produced by Helloween as a seven-piece.

Its arrangement fully showcases the luxurious lineup featuring triple vocals and triple lead guitars, and its sense of classic form and exhilarating speed evokes a return to the band’s roots—making it a perfect start to the album fans have long awaited.

The vocal work, with three distinctly different vocalists weaving between lead and chorus parts, is something only the current Helloween could achieve.

It’s a metal number worthy of being called a living legend of German metal, simultaneously conveying both the charm of the good old days and the evolution up to the present.

One, Two, ThreeHendersin

Hendershin is a rapper known for his pop style.

Since he’s an unsigned artist, his name recognition is modest, but he’s gained support on platforms like SoundCloud thanks to his catchy sound.

Among his works, the one I especially recommend is “One, Two, Three.” It’s a very bright hip-hop track, featuring uplifting lyrics and production.

If gritty, underground hip-hop isn’t your thing, definitely give this a listen.

Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)Hillsong Music

The worship song about the deep sea expresses the depth of faith through the ocean’s boundless power and mystery.

Inspired by the biblical episode of walking on the water, it sings of unwavering faith even in difficult circumstances.

The ocean’s waves and deep waters symbolize life’s trials and anxieties, making this a song that offers courage and hope to overcome them.

Released in August 2013, it held the No.

1 spot on Billboard’s Christian Songs chart for an impressive 61 weeks.

With its powerful message and moving melody, it resonates not only with people of faith but also with anyone feeling lost in life.
