Foreign songs that get you pumped up. Recommended up-tempo music (41–50)
Noche Sin DíaIl Volo, Gente de Zona

Conceived as a new-generation Three Tenors, Il Volo have been active since they were young.
In Japan, they’re strongly associated with opera, but they’ve actually released some upbeat party tunes as well.
One I particularly recommend is Noche Sin Día.
It’s a collaboration with the Cuban reggaeton group Gente de Zona, resulting in a hard-hitting reggaeton track with a summery vibe.
It performed well on Latin charts around the world, so many of you might already find it familiar!
Bang Bang (feat. Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj)Jessie J

This track has been used as background music on various shows, so many of you have probably heard it at least once.
It made waves when it was first released thanks to a collaboration between hugely popular singers and rappers, and its momentum hasn’t slowed even after several years.
Their other songs are great too, so be sure to give them a listen.
HappierMarshmello ft. Bastille

This is a song created in collaboration between Marshmello, known as a masked DJ, and the British rock band Bastille.
It is included on the compilation album “Hit’s Spring! 2019.” The string tones give the track a grand, expansive feel.
Although the sound is energetic, the lyrics portray a bittersweet farewell between lovers.
Wake Me UpAvicii

This is a track by Avicii, the Swedish producer/DJ who passed away young on April 20, 2018.
You can’t help but get hyped by this song crafted by such a gifted artist.
The chorus melody will have you wanting to jump.
Youngblood5 Seconds of Summer

5 Seconds of Summer is a band formed in Sydney, Australia.
This song was released in 2018, but many of you were probably surprised by this Japanese version of the music video, right? It’s surprising enough that it’s styled as the reminiscences of an elderly Japanese couple, but on top of that, back in the day he was a pompadoured rockabilly youth and she was a standoffish girl! What was the intention behind that?! It’s startling, but the song itself is an upbeat track about the “first-time feelings” of falling head over heels for a girl.
Dance The NightDua Lipa

A track that captivates listeners with its memorable melody and catchy rhythm.
Dua Lipa’s soaring vocals convey the heat that sweeps across the dance floor.
Released in May 2023 as part of the Barbie soundtrack, this song masterfully fuses disco and pop.
It sings of the strength to keep dancing even while carrying sadness, emphasizing the importance of self-expression and liberation.
Packed with the charm of the UK-born Dua Lipa, it’s perfect for when you want to lift your mood or need a boost of positive energy.
Highly recommended for fans of dance music.
Good FeelingFlo Rida

He’s a rapper in high demand from all directions—you’ve probably heard him at least once, right? He’s also had deep ties with Japan, collaborating with EXILE and promoting his favorite Yoshinoya beef bowls.
