Victory songs of Western music. World-famous and popular songs (11–20)
You’re The BestJoe “Bean” Esposito

Joe Esposito is a soft rock singer-songwriter who gained popularity in the 1970s.
His brand of soft rock is packed with elements of soul, giving it a more energetic vibe than typical soft rock.
Among his songs, the one I especially recommend is “You’re The Best.” As the title suggests, it has the feel of a motivational anthem, making it a perfect match for moments of victory.
U Can’t Touch ThisMC Hammer

The hip-hop track “U Can’t Touch This” was an enormous hit in the 1990s.
Since it was released in 1990, it carries an overall ’80s vibe.
The title in Japanese means “No one can touch me,” conveying the message that no one can reach his level.
It’s a perfect song for someone who’s seized victory.
Be sure to check it out.
One Moment In TimeWhitney Houston

Whitney Houston’s classic “One Moment in Time,” released as the theme song for the 1988 Seoul Olympics.
The intro features a grand melody that evokes a sense of victory, and as it moves into the first verse, it shifts into the soulful ballad style that Whitney Houston excelled at.
From there, the intensity steadily rises, culminating in an emotional chorus—a structure that compellingly evokes the feeling of victory seized at the end of struggle.
CelebrationKool and The Gang

When people hear “victory,” many probably imagine grand, weighty music.
And indeed, for highly competitive events, that kind of music fits well.
But what if the victory is in a more entertainment-focused contest, like a scavenger race? That vibe doesn’t really match, does it? In situations like that, I recommend “Celebration.” It’s a classic by the world–famous funk band Kool & the Gang, featuring an overall light, lively, and festive melody.
RoarKaty Perry

A single from the fourth album, Prism, released in 2013.
It reached No.
1 on the charts in 15 countries.
The music video, set in a tropical rainforest, was filmed at the Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden.
Every Day Is Yours To WinR.E.M.

A beautiful song characterized by a lyrical message and a slow tempo.
It is included on Collapse into Now, the 15th album released in 2011 by the American alternative rock band R.E.M.
This album is also known as the band’s final album.

The BestTina Turner

Tina Turner was a female singer-songwriter who scored global hits one after another, wielding her distinctive husky voice as her weapon.
In addition to R&B, she also incorporated rock and pop, and all of her music is characterized by its energetic style.
Among her songs, a piece that’s especially perfect for victory—and one I highly recommend—is The Best.
Its message of “You are simply the best” feels like praise for those who have seized triumph.
