PegSteely Dan

This is a classic song by Steely Dan, the jazz-rock unit formed by Donald Fagen and Walter Becker that I introduced earlier.
Sadly, Walter Becker passed away in 2017, so it now continues as Donald Fagen’s solo unit.
It’s sure to feel great when you listen to it while enjoying the spring breeze.
The Temptation of the Zephyr (Have You Never Been Mellow)Olivia Newton-John

A hit song that even came with the bonus of popularizing the word “mellow.” This fresh and beautiful track is like a spring breeze itself.
Olivia, a muse-like presence in the Western music scene of the 1970s, released it in 1975, and it became hugely popular in the United States and around the world.
Summer BreezeSeals&Crofts

A track released in 1972 by Seals and Crofts, a soft rock duo from Texas.
It was selected by Rolling Stone as one of the “Best Summer Songs of All Time.” The track has been covered by many artists, including The Isley Brothers.
Eres Tu (Touch The Wind)Mocedades

Included on the 1993 album “20 de colección.” A five-member music group from Spain formed in 1969.
A highly accomplished act that took second place at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1973, they showcase beautifully resonant sound and exquisitely harmonized vocals on this track as well.
The WindPJ Harvey

Included on the 1998 album “Is This Desire?”.
Born in 1969.
A singer-songwriter from the UK.
The rhythm features a downtempo feel with a slightly distinctive development in the bass chords, a melody that sounds low and muffled, and high-pitched vocals intersecting with a murmured, rap-like delivery, all of which create a most mysterious atmosphere.
She’s like the windPatrick Swayze

Released as a single in 1987 and included on the soundtrack of the film Dirty Dancing, which premiered the same year.
Born in 1952, a Texas-born actor and singer.
This track was used in a film starring Patrick Swayze, whose popularity was firmly established with the movie Ghost.
He delivers a richly emotive performance of this lush slow ballad.
Ride Like The WindChristopher Cross

Included on the 1979 album “Christopher Cross.” Born in 1951, he is a singer-songwriter from Texas.
It’s a memorable track featuring his powerful vocals over a mid-tempo, moody rhythm and a pop sound that, for his work, leans a bit on the aggressive side.
