The 10th digital-only single, “Howling at the Moon,” was created with a poetry collection by Sakutarō Hagiwara—known as the father of modern Japanese poetry—as its motif.

The acoustic guitar riding over the tight drum beat really lingers in your ears, doesn’t it? Since the overall key is low and the vocal range isn’t wide, it should be easy to sing even for those who aren’t confident at karaoke.

It’s a modern yet nostalgic number, recommended for times when you want to sing calmly without pushing your voice.

Yorushika is a musical duo that’s gained popularity for their abstract lyrics and ennui-tinged sound.

They’re consistently ranked near the top of Japan’s mainstream charts, so many of you may already know them.

While some people think their songs are hard to sing because of the high notes, most of those high notes don’t require much volume, so if you sing softly, just about anyone can handle them.

Among their songs, Daiichiya (“First Night”) is especially easy to sing, so definitely give it a try at karaoke.

Yorushika is a musical duo consisting of vocalist suis and composer n-buna.

One of the pieces included in the music art collection Gento that they created is 451.

Its biggest distinguishing feature is that n-buna handles the vocals.

You can enjoy a different vibe from Yorushika’s previous songs.

Savor his high-tone voice.

Overall, the track has a chill atmosphere, making it a good fit for when you want to relax.

All of the YouthYorushika

A song whose bittersweet vocals resonate deep in the heart.

It delicately sings of the conflicts felt during youth and the process of growing up, as well as longing for what has been lost.

Everyday moments—like the evening chime and the final fireworks—are vividly depicted, leaving a lasting impression on the listener.

Released digitally in June 2024 and later as an analog single, this work weaves a world of transparent vocals and delicate lyrics that, while tinged with melancholy, will beautifully color your Instagram stories.

Yorushika delivers songs with a novel-like storytelling quality to their listeners.

This video work captures the live performance “Tsuki to Neko no Dance,” staged around their 2023 music art collection Gento.

It is structured in two parts: segments where vocals and the band’s performance are presented in sync with visuals, and segments of a dramatic reading by actors.

The content conveys the poetic allure of their music while allowing audiences to enjoy both sound and imagery.

It’s a live video where suis’s somewhat wistful vocals and the band’s technical sound electrify the venue.

A rock band known for the clear, translucent voice of its female vocalist.

The sound is upbeat, but after listening you’re left with a slight, inexplicable emptiness in your heart.

Even so, that feeling can be addictive, and some people find themselves hitting repeat over and over.

Their songs touch on the fragile sides of humanity and the ugly parts of society; the barbs in her voice prickle and sting, yet paradoxically it’s refreshing.

If you’re not satisfied with just “nice” songs, this is something you should definitely hear.

It’s a track included on the July 2020 album “The Theft,” written from the perspective of a thief who steals sounds.

The previous two albums, “That’s Why I Gave Up on Music” and “Elma,” were built around the story of two characters, Elma and Amy, but this time it seems the album is being produced with a different concept.

Among the songs, this one in particular could be said to portray the inner conflict that everyone who creates music faces.

Its vibe is quite different from Yorushika’s previously popular songs, and it makes me curious about the other tracks included on the album as well.
