YUI's famous and popular songs
Let me introduce some songs by YUI, a singer-songwriter who also performs as the vocalist and guitarist for the rock band FLOWER FLOWER.
Known for her remarkably powerful voice, she reportedly focused on street performances after dropping out of high school.
Her debut came through an audition held by the Sony Group.
Although the audition was supposed to consist of two songs, she apparently insisted on performing three.
As it turns out, the judges gave that third song the highest possible score.
It seems that her knack for rising to the occasion—and her strong will—are what underpin her talent.

YUI’s classic and popular songs (41–50)
feel my soul ~2012 ver.~YUI

YUI’s first single, released in February 2005.
At the time of this release she was still only 17.
While her vocals aren’t the kind that overwhelm you like a full-fledged powerhouse singer, she delivers a very steady performance that uses her “youth” as a strength, revealing how capable she already was.
It’s a track aspiring singers should definitely take as a reference.

I love the song “CHE.R.RY” by YUI.
At first, it seems like it might be a difficult song, but when I tried singing it, I found it surprisingly easy.
Even someone as tone-deaf as I am can sing it all the way through without going off-pitch even once.
Roling starYUI

This is a song that was used as an opening theme for the anime BLEACH.
It’s an easy song to get excited about for both BLEACH fans and YUI fans.
That’s because the tempo is upbeat, and you can belt out the end of the chorus like a shout.
GROLIAYUI

Currently on hiatus from performing as YUI, she’s a guitarist performing as yui and focusing her energy on FLOWER FLOWER.
“GLORIA” is a song she sang during her solo career.
It was also used in a Shinken Zemi commercial.
While it’s not a particularly bright song, it’s an encouraging anthem that makes you feel like living with strength.
The word “ganbatte” is written with characters that mean “to stiffly stretch,” but when you stretch something too tightly—like a guitar string—it’ll snap. Being too rigid and tense leads to a life that’s thick but short; it made me realize that keeping things thin and long—going gently for the long haul—is important too.YUI

I think these are words that make your heart feel a little lighter.
In short, it means that pushing yourself too hard isn’t good, but YUI’s characteristic way of expressing it really hits home.
It’s the kind of expression only a singer-songwriter could have, and it seems like it could give a bit of breathing room to people who are working hard.
It’s My LifeYUI

Released in 2011 as YUI’s 18th single.
Issued as her third double A-side single, the song was featured in U-Can’s 2011 campaign commercials.
While bright and pop in sound, its lyrics are memorable for encouraging those who are giving their all.
The colorful music video is also a highlight.
StrobolightsYUI

Introducing a car packed with lots of “good” — the Toyota Aqua in the ‘AQUA Debut’ edition.
You can enjoy how the stylish visuals and clever framing come together to create a collage-like piece.
The BGM is a cover of SUPERCAR’s hit song “Strobolights” by yui.
That addictive melody really transforms the impression of this commercial, doesn’t it?
