A band you can’t leave out when talking about the 2000s is Soutaiseiriron (Theory of Relativity).

Formed in 2006, their emergence—unlike anything seen before—became a hot topic among fans of Japanese rock at the time.

Their sound is far from aggressive or noisy rock; above all, the band is defined by Etsuko Yakushimaru’s airy, floating vocals.

With familiar words you might learn in school as keys, they open up a vast lyrical world, creating a uniquely mysterious atmosphere.

They’re a one-of-a-kind band, unlike anything before or since.

Once you listen, you’ll definitely be hooked!
