The line Tatsuro delivers somehow feels like something Tetsuya Takeda might say in his own words, and it was incredibly pleasant to hear.

The way he uses inversion and adds “just this once” at the very end, as if praying to God, gives it a real sense of sincerity.

Even if I hear similar lines like “If this is a dream, don’t wake me,” I’m sure I’ll always be reminded of this line from 101st Proposal.

As Kaoru stares intently at Tatsuro’s face while he calmly talks about his own inadequacy, Asano Atsuko’s silent acting is phenomenal.

After Tatsuro finishes speaking, Kaoru confesses, “Please take me as your wife.” The nut ring they exchange at the construction site is impossible to watch without tears.
