Colorful Ghosts with Finger Painting
How about making colorful ghosts with finger painting? Finger painting is a technique where you paint using your fingers or hands.
This time, though, we’ll do it a bit differently: you’ll paint by touching the paint and paper through a food storage bag.
That way your hands won’t get messy.
Once you’ve roughly created a ghost silhouette, add eyes and a mouth at the end.
The impression changes depending on where you place them! For example, placing them close together can make it look like a full-body ghost, while spacing them farther apart can make it look like a close-up of the face.
Triangle Monster Garland
This is a triangular monster garland you can use to decorate a room for Halloween.
It’s fun to make and fun to display—perfect for creating in early childhood settings! Fold origami paper into a triangle, crease it, then open it.
Fold both sides toward the center line, and fold the remaining corners to complete one piece.
You can keep making pieces with the same steps, and enjoy lots of variations just by changing the patterns.
It’s a fun idea to decorate with Halloween-themed characters like pumpkins, ghosts, and bats.
Try making these as an activity to help 2-year-olds practice their fine motor skills!
Monster bucket made of yarn
These are Halloween cups made with paper cups and yarn.
The method is simple: just wrap your favorite color of yarn around a paper cup with double-sided tape on it! Then add a pipe cleaner as a handle and attach face parts like eyes and a mouth to finish.
If you use white yarn, it becomes a mummy-style ghost; if you use purple or yellow-green yarn, it turns into a cute, colorful monster.
And in true Halloween fashion, they’re practical too—you can use them to hold candy!

Playable Ghost
Why not try making a cute little ghost you can wear on your finger? It’s perfect for Halloween-themed events or pretend play at nurseries and kindergartens.
Fold a white sheet of origami paper into a triangle to make a crease, then open it.
Fold the top and bottom toward the center, flip it over and fold, then fold the left and right corners along the lines.
Fold the left and right corners again to create the ghost’s hands, glue the back layers together, and it’s done.
This is a great craft idea for two-year-olds, letting them enjoy the ghost gently swaying.
A ghost that breaks in five tries

Even spooky-looking ghosts turn cute when you make them with origami! Here’s a ghost you can create with just five folds.
It’s perfect for two-year-olds who are getting a bit used to origami, so why not give it a try? It might be tricky for a two-year-old to fold neatly, so it’s fine for an adult to help.
At the end, add eyes, a mouth, and hands to give it a personal touch.
It’s also great for Halloween wall decorations or hanging ornaments, so be sure to use it!
A pumpkin that breaks after five folds

A Halloween pumpkin you can make with just five folds of origami.
It’s also fun to decorate the finished piece with pens or crayons, or draw a jack-o’-lantern face.
The steps are simple: fold the origami in sequence with the colored side facing down.
With the paper turned to a diamond orientation, fold the top corner toward the center.
Next, make small folds on the left and right corners, and finally fold the bottom corner up to the center, then fold it back until a little point sticks out—done! This is a great origami craft for 2-year-olds to practice fine motor skills.
A ghost wearing a pumpkin and a hat

These pumpkin and ghost origami are perfect for Halloween crafts.
They’re designed for two-year-olds, with as few folds as possible for both.
There’s no need to fold perfectly—focus on letting children have fun exploring origami! For the ghost, you can add eyes and a mouth with dot stickers, and for the pumpkin, try using stickers or cut-out paper to make the face.
You can also make a hat by folding a small piece of origami paper just twice—place it on the ghost or pumpkin and have fun playing with them!
