bell cricket

Let me show you an idea for making a bell cricket using parts.
You’ll use one 15 cm sheet of origami, but first cut it into one half-size sheet and two quarter-size sheets.
Use the half-size sheet to make the wings, and the quarter-size sheets to make the body and legs.
For the wings, fold the paper in half lengthwise to make a long, narrow shape, then fold up both ends slightly outside the center line.
Finally, fold the corners to create rounded edges for the wings, and they’re done.
For the body, do a double “zabuton” fold, then fold each of the four corners slightly inward—done.
For the legs, fold the paper into a square twice, then cut the inner side into a triangle, leaving the outer side in a “∠” (bent) shape.
Assemble these parts into the shape of a bell cricket and glue them together.
Draw a face to finish it cutely!
In conclusion
It was a piece that evoked the arrival of autumn and captured the feel of September.
We recommend combining the individual origami parts to make a wall decoration or a wreath, whichever you like.
Enjoy spending a wonderful time with seniors through origami.
