A classic song from Aladdin. A love story woven by magic and fantasy (11–20)
PRINCE ALI(REPRISE)Takarada Akira

This music really highlights Jafar’s nastiness as he tattles to Jasmine about Aladdin’s secret.
By the way, “Prince Ali” is Aladdin’s temporary persona created by Genie’s magic.
It seems Jasmine has already figured it out, though.
ONE JUMP AHEAD(REPRISE)Ishii Kazutaka

It’s a heartrending song that makes you want to cheer, “Hang in there, Aladdin!” He’s not doing bad things because he wants to—he’s singing about his bittersweet longing to one day live in a palace-like place.
It’s a gentle and beautiful song.
STREET URCHINSAlan Menken

Music that means “the town’s mischievous boy.” It’s the scene where Aladdin dashes through the city, leading into the reprise of “One Jump Ahead.” It conveys Aladdin’s lonely heart and his wish to someday escape this kind of life.
I’m unbeatable when it comes to running away.Gekidan Shiki

Some of the lyrics are a little different from Disney’s version, but it’s still absolutely perfect—every bit as good as Disney! Here, Yukihiro Shimamura from the Shiki Theatre Company plays Aladdin and also does the singing.
It’s truly amazing how he sings while dancing!
A Whole New World (End Title)ZAYN, Zhavia Ward

Among the songs from Disney’s beloved Aladdin, the most famous is arguably A Whole New World.
It was also performed as the theme song for the 2019 live-action adaptation.
This is the version that plays over the end credits.
It has a different, more atmospheric feel compared to the in-film rendition of A Whole New World.
The beautiful sound both preserves the film’s lingering afterglow and moves you all over again.
TO BE FREEAlan Menken

This music perfectly fits the phrase “toward freedom.” Here, the bright and energetic Genie’s pain—and his wish to one day be free—is expressed through beautiful music.
Come to think of it, Aladdin and the Genie’s wishes are quite similar, aren’t they?

JAFAR’S HOURAlan Menken

Jafar, the famous villain from Aladdin.
This music conjures an image of Jafar scheming in a suspicious underground chamber.
He’s like a snake—a bit creepy, isn’t he? In the latter half, the music swells as if he’s about to pull off something grand and evil.
